Go hard or go home ! 1000 new worms to add to our family :) kids loved seeing and holding the world and learning about their place in the soil and breaking down our food scraps.Previous reviews I saw that people had problems with the qty of worms in their box… I definitely thing there were 1000. Please please remember to look and help those very small white new baby works out of the plastic bag and into the soil. There were so many and they were all alive and needed to be helped into the word cafe … fight for the future of the worm cafe business and keep those little wrigglers alive!

A complete waste of a lot of money.

Bought them on Friday 5th February 2021 at Mount Barker, SA. Opened on Saturday to find a number of dead, dried out worms on the inside of the box. The plastic bag inside is not sealed, so they can easily escape, and that didn't bother me at the time. I prepared the Worm Cafe then emptied the contents of the bag into the tray. It was dry and all I could see were a very few, deep pink worms, none of them moving. There are no dates on the box to indicate how long it had been sitting on the shelf, only a green disc with the number 50 handwritten on it. This might be a batch number, or it could mean nothing at all. I surmise that these worms had been there for a very long time and, with the inner bag not sealed, that it had dried out over time, either from heat ... MoreBought them on Friday 5th February 2021 at Mount Barker, SA. At what works out at around 5c a worm, I got what looks like a dollar's worth of dead ones, and a load of dry packing material.

Lots of worms
3 December 2021

Bought a box of these bad boys a couple of days ago. There were so many worms, lots of different sizes, all moving around and loving life.Either I got lucky, or other reviewers were unlucky, but I have no complaints at all.If ever the time comes that I need more, this will likely be the brand I choose.

Not worth it
28 February 2023

Advertised as 1,000 worms. Honestly I reckon I would be lucky to have 50.Very disappointed, and how do you even return something like this. You don’t know until it’s opened and putting onto your farm to see.

Not worth the money
30 August 2021

I bought this at my local store via click and collect, when I got home and opened the box, I was shocked to see the small bag of worms within. Opening the bag , I could see lots of dead worms and the worms that were alive, were very small. Having put them in the worm fam now for about a week, the worms have fattened up but I'd guess there are less than 100. I've since jumped onto gumtree and found a local worm breeder who is preparing worms for me to top up. Do your research before buying this product.

RIP OFF
18 September 2021

Please BE AWARE that you are not getting anywhere near what is advertised.Look i know there worm, but for $50 I got less than 100 in my first box, went back to bunnings and checked another box only to count 19 worms ( true).Spoke to manager, he gave me another box ( champion lad Damien) only to get less than a handful of worms.Do not buy these boxes, the supplier just fills a bag with 99.99% mix and a cup full of worms.

Where are the worms?
23 August 2021

I bought this box together with the worm farm, set up the worm farm and opened the box to find a few dead full sized worms outside of the bag, the substrate inside was moist but I found no full sized worms. Only found what I believe to have been baby worms that had hatched since being packed. There definitely wasn't 1000 worms in there, I'm just thankful that there were eggs in there that have hatched... though I did see only 3 eyelash sized baby worms.

worms arrived in good health and condition. Immediately began to eat the cardboard and within 3 days were eating small amounts of other suitable materials. within 3 weeks the first tray was getting full and there were smaller worms appearing.
