OK, I have LOVED Wranger jeans for many years but over the past 2 years everything I order has been cut down so much that you cannot wear them, not to mention the thinner and matterial!! I liked the pants so much I wanted another color so I tried searching for the same pair everywhere. I like to wear them for work and every-day use; not for "dress-up" jeans. If I wanted midnight rinse jeans, I would have ordered them. So, I was a bit put out that y'all didn't send what I ordered. Other than that, Wrangler Five-Star Regular Fit Jeans are great. All I can find at the stores around here are the stretchy-cloth Wrangler jeans, and I hate that material. I purchase men's jeans because I simply will not squeeze myself into 99% Spandex leggings. I look for jeans that are 100% cotton, and you cannot imagine how difficult it is to find them. And even if I can, they're preposterously expensive. $150 or more for a pair of all-cotton jeans? Please. These were reasonably priced, fit beautifully, are made of sturdy cotton, and I just love them. Only one nitpicky complaint: A "run" started to appear in one leg of the jeans. I carefully trimmed it, and I hope it won't turn into a "fashionable" rip at the thigh. (Have you ever noticed that the pre-ripped jeans have rips at the exact same places on every pair? And who, please tell me, rips their jeans at the thigh?)
These are my daily jeans, that I wear 2-3 times a week. I've put them through a lot, like a 2 week hitchhiking trip in Europe or some construction work and each pair has lasted me more than 2 years. When the knees tear apart, I'll cut them and make shorts to give them a second life. I love the regular fit (which feels pretty relaxed for me) as it allows freedom of movement while biking or doing anything really. I also regularly get friends ask me where I find these cause they like the way they look. Living in France, I've not managed to find these here so I have my family bring me back two pairs each time they visit the US. The price/quality ratio is that good that it's worth the hustle.
Several years ago, these jeans, when new, started fitting me differently than my previously purchased Wranglers. They started "flossing" my butt cheeks. The cut changed. And the sizing became erratic. I can try on 3 pairs that are all tagged the same size, and 1 will be too tight around the waist, another too long in length, and another too loose around the waist. Upon returning the items, the Wrangler customer service rep told me she understood, "as the material and cut may be different, especially since they are made in different parts of the country and the world". It's a good value if they fit, but I'm searching for a different brand after 25 years, as the sizing/cut is no longer consistent nor reliable.
I ordered the "COLOR Vintage Indigo (35001VI)" which is 14.75 oz. fabric. However, the pair I received seems more like the lighter weight stonewashed jeans. The label sewn into the jeans says "35001 VI" and they fit great. The stonewashed lighter fabric jeans are the same price. My order was a reorder of the jeans I had purchased in the past. Those older jeans are a much heaver fabric. I've successfully bought directly from Wrangler before, but this was a disaster. I rinsed the new jeans, put them in the washer, and the blue that came out literally damaged the washer to the point that I had to use steel wool to clean all plastic and metal parts. So I washed the jeans by hand FOUR more times and each time massive amounts of blue came out. I finally tried the washer one more time and it AGAIN damaged the washer requiring repair. I would never wear these, or sit on any furniture. Ultimately I threw them in the garbage as I wouldn't even goodwill them, affecting someone else. Waste of $30+ and I'll never order from Wrangler again.
