The Peeling knife is one of the most widely used tools in the kitchen. Its versitily of uses is a mainstay in any kitchen a quality parer like the Classic Ikon is a real pleasure for your small cutting needs. Wusthof Classic Ikon is culmination of all the best features of each of the Wusthof knife lines. The combined riveted handle design is combined with a contoured shape to add comfort and control. The Classic Ikon adds a rear bolster that acts as a counter balance when using the knife. This second bolster adds significant blade control. Classic Ikon has a unique forward bolster as well. The forward partial bolster is designed so you can sharpen the complete length of the blade. This bolster is also curvered inwards to allow your fingers greater control while holding the knife by the blade. Located in The Cutlery Capital of the World, Solingen Germany, the Wusthof factory history goes back as far as 1814 when the company was listed with the Duchy of Berg. To this day, the company remains family owned. Throughout It's history, Wusthof has focused almost solely on the manufacturing of forged knives for the professional chef and home cooking enthusiast. Wusthof uses a special blend of German steel through out the whole length of the knife. The ingredients of this steel are proudly etched on each blade. Wusthof not only uses the best materials to make a fine knife, but it is also crucial that each blade is precisely tempered. This tempering allows the knife to hold its edge for an extremely long time, yet still be able to be maintained in your home kitchen with out the need to be sent away for maintenance. Our unique compound angle is not seen in many knives. This angle tapers from the spine of the knife to the edge to allow for a sturdy, yet extremely sharp edge while it also tapers from the bolster to the tip to give the knife strength as well as flexibility.

Compared to other high end brands Wusthof Knives top them all. This a well balanced knife with a comfortable grip and razor sharp edgeAlso their warranty is unsurpassed. I have had the same knives for over 15 years and sent them in to be replaced 2 times.Wusthof makes the process very easy and certainly stands behind their products.

My husband and I recently bought this and it cuts smoothly. The quality is amazing. We love using it to peel fruit. We were sold when we could give it a test run in the store. I look forward to using my Wusthof knives and makes cooking more fun!

Being a Japanese knife fan, purchasing a German Wusthof Classic Ikon chef芒鈧劉s knife was going to be a risk for me. No fear..... what a great knife. Fits well into my hand, well balanced, very very sharp, cuts with ease and feels quality. My only reservation about this knife is it芒鈧劉s weight. Compared to my Kasumi, this Wusthof is heavy. It took a little time to get use to the weight. Japanese knives are light and well balanced. Beware...this knife (like all quality knives) needs special looking after. No dishwasher for cleaning, no chopping bones or frozen food, it芒鈧劉s hand washing and drying. A real bonus with this knife is that Wusthof offers free lifetime sharpening. Recommend

Very sharp and reminds you to use proper cutting techniques! Very versatile knife - I use it alot. Beautiful design.
Wow! What a great knife! I considered getting a food processor after my absolute favorite knife had been sharpened by my Husband again, and again, and it still did not slice through veggies and such nicely. After much contemplating and searching for an electric food processor, I figured if I got one it would have to be the type that can cut in any direction, and those models cost a lot of money. My next thought would be the food processor would then likely be in next years garage sale.So..... I decided to buy a new blade for me, since I am our food processor. After looking at paring knives to purchase, I wanted a really good knife that would stand the amount of chopping that I do more often on a daily basis, as I cook from scratch.I decided on this blade because ... MoreWow! After looking at paring knives to purchase, I wanted a really good knife that would stand the amount of chopping that I do more often on a daily basis, as I cook from scratch.I decided on this blade because of the German made and I thought it would definitely be a good one, based on the price it should be a good one too. And IT IS!!! This blade slices through carrots, onions, celery and lots of other stuff SUPER slick, makes the veggies feel like butter.I am SO happy that I got this paring knife, and not the food processor machine, this knife will not be in next years garage sale. My old blade surely already is!!!
Phenomenal. Very sharp. Effortless cutting. Very high quality. Great feel in your hand.
For years I found most paring knives uncomfortable to use. The Ikon's flat blade and curved handle seemed like the perfect configuration for so many cutting tasks. I splurged and think it's a spectacular little knife. Perfect on all counts.
I bought this paring knife this spring to replace a paring knife my children lost somewhere. I like the handle which fits nicely in my big hands. It is not straight, but has a place for my finger. It is also super sharp.
These are the 'best' knives and so difficult to find this style in stores. Love these knives, love the fact that they are not as expensive as in stores and love the fact that I didn't have to go into the city to find them. Thanks AGAIN to kitchen warehouse. Great service.
This is a great weighty little knife. It’s extremely sharp so care is needed. I love the Classic Ikon Knifes so I’m slowly building up to a full set.
