This is pretty good but I hated when Microsoft suddenly dropped the family plan and made us each get separate memberships. Tripled what I had to pay. Then they charged one of my twins 25¢ after already paying for a yearly membership supposedly as proof that he was not a minor. They claimed that it was required for him to be able to continue playing. But they never charged his twin brother. So they were just getting money for nothing from how ever many people they wanted. Seemed more like a scam to me.

A lot of people tend to purchase the less expensive memberships that last 3 months or 6 months. Meanwhile, you are better off spending the full amount and buy the Xbox live gold 12 month membership. It is less expensive this way verses buying 3 month memberships constantly. Having this membership allows you to play and connect with other gamers from all around the world. Play movies, explore the internet and give you perks.

I usually purchase a Microsoft live gold membership card for my kids at Christmas. I usually put one in their stockings. You get a much better buy if you purchase the twelve month membership. It's just a better price than doing the three month ones. This Microsoft Xbox live allows them to get online and play a different variety of games. They can also play with multiple friends online. These Microsoft Xbox live cards are a must for online gaming. My kids are grown but they still enjoy their video games very much. So if you have any gamers in your home or family, these make great gifts for birthdays or Christmas.

Im so happy best buy offers this! I almost fell for Microsofts ploy, they want to charge month to month 9.99 for game pass thats 119.88 bucks a year! Double of what gold was! They only offer month (9.99) or quarter (24.99) on the xbox and Microsoft website! Im glad i did a lot of searching and research before i did it on the xbox. So if your like me and liked buying gold (game pass core) 1 time a year for a fair price, best buy is the way to go!!!!! Thanks!!!! Saturday september 23 2023 09/23/2023

Why people are rating this service highly baffles me. This service is terrible. Not only is it required for multiplayer use it consistently offers crapy titles for quasi-ownership. The most egregious move is to offer a title twice which they do often. As a long time subscriber I have seen this on many occasions. Also, digital games can be delisted without any consumer protections.Full disclosure I own a PS5 with PS plus. Had it 8 months and the offering are exponentially better with AAA game titles. Microsoft trys to push you to Game Pass where the offerings are much better. Do better!

I purchased a 12 month Xbox Live Gold membership for the first time on Best Buy a couple years ago and I love the convenience. I typically use the "Online Game Code" option which provides you with a code you enter on your Xbox or within your Xbox Live account. This allows me to make the purchase and basically instantly redeem the code on my Xbox Live account. It's great if you need to quickly start, reactivate or extend membership without waiting for a physical card to arrive in the mail or without needing to run to the store to buy one. I also like using these prepaid cards or codes to pay for Xbox Live over paying with a credit card or debit card. If you pay with a credit/debit card Microsoft typically automatically renews it when your subscription is up. As a single dad I may not always have the required funds where they need to be when that happens. I don't like surprises and the associated fees that come with them. ;) I prefer not having a credit card linked to my Xbox anyway because it helps prevent fraud and the kids can't "accidentally" purchase something.

Not two seperate codes, does not work for GamePass
16 December 2019

I purchased this but only received one code for 3 months. I spoke with Wal-Mart and they stated that the additional 3 months should have automatically been credited to my account from Microsoft the problem is this doesn't work if you are a Xbox GamePass user. If you utilize Game Pass Ultimate or Gamepass be aware that the code will be converted to GamePass time. This appears to break this deal. I thought I was getting two 3 month cards which would convert to about 100 days of Gamepass time. Instead I paid 24.99 for one code that if utilized as converts to 50 days of GamePass Ultimate time which is the same you would pay with a standard subscription. Here is a Microsoft chart I was able to find:1 month of Gold - 20 days of Ultimate3 months of Gold - 50 days of ... MoreI purchased this but only received one code for 3 months.
