Definitely the best feeling controller for gaming on PC. Xbox controllers have had a history of having issues. 360 controllers just felt stiff and cheap and kind of bad overall. My Xbox Series X controller has lasted so long that the rubber joystick grips have worn off and I've had to replace them with what are essentially cheap rubber tops from Amazon. I was amazed to see that my bumper buttons have lasted this long. The recent improvements to the d-pad are also worth mentioning. It feels so much cleaner than it did on previous models. If you want a solid workhorse of a controller for PC gaming, or console use, that feels good and gives you years of service this is the way to go.

Bought this with the insurance plan for $7 I think, to avoid any issues returning, as my son tends to have bad luck with controllers. Sure enough the controller malfunctioned. Brought it in to try and exchange it and was turned away. I was told there was absolutely nothing they could do and I would have to call MICROSOFT because the insurance doesn’t kick in until after x amount of days. I said ok and told them I would never shop at Walmart again. I am married and have two children. My spouse and I both work and make a decent living. We spend a lot of money each month exclusively at target now. Not looking for a response just thought someone may want to know. This happened in July, I’ve waited a Few months and it is incredibly easy to not shop at Walmart for anything. This isn’t some crazy right wing cry baby my feelings got hurt type of boycott. This is a call for community resistance against corporations that refuse to employ even the slightest bit of common sense in every day interactions that could slightly benefit the customer in any way, shape or form.

Clean lines and bright colors

I'm a fan of the old-school, white controller. I like how the buttons show their bright colors. Some games display the buttons on the screen in rapid succession to demonstrate what to press to play a mini-game, so I find this easier to follow than when each button is grayed out on other controllers. Of course, this depends on your level of comfort and muscle memory.I like how the thumb-sticks feel like they offer resistance when playing a game. Great Controller

i recently bought a pdp afterglow wave controller and came home an went to play the game. Not even 15 mins after i started the controller started saying it was disconnected. This was the reason i bought that controller in the first place. I assumed it was just my xboxs usb port an kept playing sonce it went away not long after. The PDP controller (which is endorsed by Microsoft too) was just terrible all around. Yea it lights up an you can customize buttons, lights, ect, but mine had connection issues straight out of the box. I tried different cables an it came down to the controller. Eventually if i pushed the cable into the controller really hard then i coukd maybe get it to play for a few hours without disconnecting. Then we get to the next issue, the left stick lost its ability to "click in". The stick was registering it as it being pressed in an out, repeatedly over and over, so this ruined being ablebto sprint ect. This was about a week after i purchased it. I plan on going and returning it and if i cant get a refund then im gonna tryvm and get one through the warranty from the makers. If you're a heavy gamer, do not buy a pdp.Anyways, this controller feels really really good an like it will actually hokd up for atleast a few months atleast but i guess we'll see. I had a 360 controller long ago that i got after going through like 3 others an that one held up through anything. If i have any issues ill be sure to definitely post them. I was somewhat disappointed with the Xbox controller. It’s been years since I’ve used one, and was expecting better quality. The base controller does not come with a rechargeable battery pack. You have to spend another $20-$30 if you don’t want to keep buying AA batteries. Come on Microsoft… Sony Dual Shock controllers all come with rechargeable barriers built in… At $60 I would expect this controller to be rechargeable.The A-B-X-Y buttons felt cheap and were not enjoyable to use. New Controller (Same as the Old Controller)

Figured I'd relegate the One controller to "guest" duty the rare times I may have a guest over for a gaming session.In terms of ergonomics, the Series controller feels real similar to the One before it, which is to say: it's a comfy piece of plastic. If you can find this on sale & don't mind having to either shell out a bit more for batteries or a proper charging kit, you can do a lot worse than this. If you find an older One controller for significantly cheaper, I low-key doubt you'd miss the textured grip & triggers that overly much.Overall, I'd grade this a 3.5/5 mostly out of spite for the battery situation, though I'll spite my spite & round the score up to a 4/5 for today.

For some reason: Microsoft has continued to make the Xbox controller, smaller and smaller. The S controller and the Xbox 360 controller worked very well in adult hands. The Xbox one controller was noticeably smaller and now we have the Xbox series X controller, which is even smaller with Reduced trigger size. It fits oddly in my hands. These controllers are cheaply, made, and sold for relatively high prices. I have noticed a considerable decline in controller quality since the original Xbox. My Xbox one had the absolute worst controllers where I would suffer frequent failures. In fact: I bought this controller to replace an Xbox one controller. I have replaced my Xbox one controller at least five times. This time after one of the shoulder buttons broke. Instead of allowing you to simply buy rechargeable AA batteries, they want you to buy a licensed rechargeable battery pack. Sure enough: the Xbox ones rechargeablebattery packs for the controllers do not fit in the Xbox series X controller. I have recently used the Xbox series X elite, two controller, and while I do like it, I find the price even more ridiculous than these controllers. The one good thing I can say about these controllers is that they use USB Cee instead of micro USB, which is a more universal charging standard now in 2023. Even apples iPhone has gone to USB-C along with their iPads, and just about all of their MacBooks. But even with USB-C Microsoft demands that you buy their license peripherals in order to get the most out of your device.

Im terribly unsatisfied with these Xbox Contollers I’ve just gone through 2 of these I would say the origanal contoller that came with my Xbox held up for about 4 years but started to show issues with the buttons I decided to start using this blue one. Used item sold as new. Missing box components.

This is the second XBOX controller I have bought from Walmart this week. Both controllers were sold to me as new but are in fact used and missing components from the box. This one is missing the batteries. But what I like the most is the dirt from someone’s hands (I assume) left on the controller. No this box did not have security tape on it and I did not know it was ripped until I opened it and discovered that Walmart hid the ripped cardboard on the inside. I didn’t even think about this because the associate pulled this box from behind locked glass. Oy! This ought to be considered theft, but I get this more and more lately. Amazon does this too.
