Xiaomi Redmi Watch 2 Lite Ivory

I bought this as a birthday gift for my son, and it's a great little watch. It does what it claims to do, and does it well, however there are a few issues with the app.First, the app doesn't work for my son. It has a minimum age, and my son is younger. I've had to set him up with a fake date of birth for him to use the watch. Some of the in-app settings are odd as well. It's hard to change targets, and sometimes the app doesn't save the changes made to targets.Otherwise, my son loves it, and has had fun! it does the tracking he wants, and he has lots of faces to choose from.

I want to really like it but (at least mine) the battery is a massive let-down. While advertised at *up to* 10 days I didn't really expect it to last that long, I was hoping for maybe 6-7 days, but I can't get more than 2 days without recharging which is hugely disappointing. Before purchasing I read the fine print as far as settings that were used to supposedly get 10 days battery life, and even with literally everything turned off (and what's the pointof that) I still can't stretch it to 3 days. The irony is I'd recently bought a Xiaomi phone and ear buds and decided to "upgrade" from a Huawei band that did give me 7-8 days on a charge. I've tried everything I can think of, including factory resets but nothing improved so I'll probably contact customer service to ... MoreI want to really like it but (at least mine) the battery is a massive let-down. Other than that, the built-in GPS appears accurate and is a great feature for the price point, the face size is good, and it's comfortable for everyday wear, gym workouts, hikes etc. Just wish the battery was better...

I got this on the latest sale & have owned almost a week. Overall very pleased with the watch. It is a bit of a downgrade from the Mi Watch it replaces (due to the strap snapping) but it does everything I need it to & is pretty accurate in most things, though I think it overestimates the active calorie burn but that's a small thing. Also, the battery life doesn't seem very good, I've barely gotten 5 days out of it before charging, but I use it quite heavily so that's probably why. Overall very pleased & would recommend.

Packed full of features for the price. Looks great and the inbuilt GPS means that you can use lots of functions even if you don't have a mobile phone. Had to pair it with a device to set it up and the app doesn't work with a tablet but I was able to sideload it from an APK file and run it without issues. Exactly the right level of tech for a preteen and no distractions to get her in trouble at school. She loves being able to put custom watch faces on with photos of our pets. Not a huge range of watch faces in the store, but enough to match with moods or outfits. Battery life is pretty good for a smart watch (due to limited features I guess) and it's cheap enough to not be too worried about it getting bashed about while playing (holding up fine so far!). A better app ... MorePacked full of features for the price. Looks great and the inbuilt GPS means that you can use lots of functions even if you don't have a mobile phone. A better app interface would make it 5 stars, but really happy all round (has been worn for about a month at this point).

So far this is the third Xiaomi smartwatch I've purchased for my family, what they offer for the price is amazing. Screens are crisp, with great colours and contrast. Great build quality, stunning battery life, cheap replacement straps, water resistance and a ton of features that are found on wearables 10x the price. A few glitches with syncing with the app (such as omitting sleep data for some reason) but all the info is still in the watch and easy to check. Great buy!

Pros: Excellent battery life, brilliant tracking and fitness options. Clean and easy to use UI. Don't expect a £300 Apple watch, but from an ex Apple watch owner I much prefer the Redmi Lite 2. Don't let the bad reviews put you off, watch a few reviews, manage your expectations and you'll be very happy with this device.Cons: App integration with Google fit would have been nice rather than Strava integration but that's a subjective complaint to myself.

Pros: Great step counting, not have to adjust once go to drive car bike etc, counting only steps.Able to connect to strawa.Quite accurate but not as good as fitbit sleep monitor. Able to see , silent or pick up phone calls to your mobile- if u let acces phone book will show who is calling othervise u will be able see calling number on the screen only- watch must be connected with mobile by blootootcch and wifii to do it.Good amount of activities to monitor- builded in.Love so many choice of watch faces. Not have to pay to use all watch features and apps. For m way of use- step counting, sleep monitore, showing u how high u climbed once set up activity as hiking its perfect. If u looking for prefesional gym monitor go to something more in fitbit , but be ready to pay ... MorePros: Great step counting, not have to adjust once go to drive car bike etc, counting only steps.Able to connect to strawa.Quite accurate but not as good as fitbit sleep monitor. SpO2 not accurate, have to stay still to measure it and have difficult to measure Spo2 once not connected to phone by blootootch.Stress monitore pointless as usualy u have to be still once its measure it...who stays still once in stress, also u not able to measure it once u want, watch deciding when to measure it- in my case it happening only when I am asleep- pointless, remove it, replace with ECG monitor.U unable to fully use it once u not download application on your mobile, as on watch can not see previous days.

Rachelle's review of Xiaomi Redmi 2 Lite Fitness Watch - Beige

Pros: if you are looking for a functional work out/walking measurement and is waterproof literally ok to use when in shower this is good enough. if you dont need to text or call or pay with your watch this is good enough for basic smart watch functions plus waterproof. its a main highlight for me that it tracks sleep and is sensitive to realize you are walking to activate exercise modeCons: its always connected to my phone so charging frequency is every otherday sometimes compared to what it says that itt can go up to 10days no charge which i guess for someone who isnt active at all.
