I wanted to know the temp and humidity of my house in each room and have a record of it. At first I got a different product that only worked within Bluetooth range. But xiaomi haave a bunch of products that are all Bluetooth but can connect to this WiFi hub. Works well and was easy enough to set up. Distance you can have devices from this hub is fine for my smaller wooden house but a large house might need several hubs to get good covered. All in all I'm pleased with this item
