This system is really great. I have a 2019 tundra and it fit perfectly. Seems to be extremely heavy duty and the quality is great. It’s not a cheap system and I see great attention to detail in the fit and finish. The welds are prefect with no splatter or porous areas and the coating doesn’t flake or scratch easily. When installing the top cross bars the finish didn’t scratch or discolor where the metal slides together and I couldn’t move the bars at all once they were fastened in place. Overall I’m very happy with this rack and I am glad I spent the money on this one instead of a cheaper one that I looked at. I know the price may be a bit salty for some but after buying this rack I’m glad I went a little extra. In my opinion it’s worth it

The OverHaul HD rack is a solidly built rack. YES, you will also need HD cross bars (they come in 3 lengths) and the features tab DOES indeed state this.I am using the longest available HD bars on my 2010 Tundra. I can fit two sets of Thule Hullivators and a Thule Dock Glide mount up there. I have zero concerns that the rack system wouldn’t be able to support it.For Toyota and Nissan trucks you will need a bed adapter. It stinks that it is an extra add on but it is what it is. Be sure to order them together.I can easily dismount the rack and leave the baseplates on during the winter months. I can take off both racks in about 3 minutes.Hoping to add a rack mounted tent next year. Can’t wait for more adventures. Installation of the Yakima Overhaul HD System on my RetraxPro Tonneau Cover was easy using the (8) supplied T-Slot bolts (Ford F-150 Lariat 5.5 foot bed). I was able to purchase the Yakima HD Crossbars on Ebay (68”) - as nobody . The Overhaul+HD Crossbar system is ROCK-solid sturdy. I love having additional tie-down points for securing cargo. However the beefy HD Crossbars lack accessories - so I hope Yakima comes out with more products. As shown in the photo, you can tie down Kayaks pretty easily without additional accessories - although using the proper accessories is advisable for longer trips. For Kayaks, forget standard foam block kits and most other competing products, as the HD Crossbars have too large of a cross-section and parts don’t fit well, or at all. I highly recommend this product - I’m sure I’ll have it for the life of my vehicle.

I purchased the E-Series XT for my 201 Ford Raptor. I had it installed at the Ford dealership in town. Fantastic electric tonneau cover. Works perfectly.I got it because it fit my Decked drawer system.I also purchased a Yakima OverHaul XD truck bed rail system. I had to trim the T-slot plates to make it fit the tonneau cover. Not very hard with a sharp box cutter. So, this tonneau cover can accommodate a Decked drawer system and a Yakima OverHaul HD system (with modification).Very pleased.
Boom! Winner winner chicken dinner. The simplest way to put it is that it delivered exactly as advertised. The tracks take some care, thought, and time to install, but once installed the rest is easy and adjustments are much easier than with the typical truck bed install. I do think more coordination is needed between the DiamondBack angles and brackets mounted to the underside of the deck and the layout of the bolts for the tracks. If you blindly put them where the instructions direct it will not work.Looks great, super clean. DiamondBack opens and closes no problem when nothing is on the rack. So glad I waited for these to be developed as I can't imagine anything working better. With the space under the load bars I can now use the deck of the DB as intended, load ... MoreBoom! RAPTOR OWNERS, PLEASE READ THIS DEF APPLIES TO OUR TRUCKSLike most products sold/produced by Diamondback, this product is amazing. It fits the cover, looks clean, and performs as expected with one of the Diamondback products. HOWEVER, please understand your level of experience installing items like this product. The directions included will confuse you more than they will help you. In my opinion, the best thing to do is fully assemble the entire kit with the cross brackets and mock them up on the truck. If you do this and install the rear kit, you will be able to line up for the front using a long straight edge. For the Ford Raptors, because our beds are wider in the middle than each end, it is difficult to find four bolt holes not hitting a cross member. There will be at least 4 holes that will need to be close to the cross member, and the plastic custom nuts will not work.As far as the bolts and custom nuts, I found it easier to thread the bolts and knock the nuts out of the custom plastic holders. This will allow you to locktite the nuts onto the bolts.FINAL NOTE: Once you install this bracket and put any weight on the bracket it will become very difficult to open and close your tailgate due to the rubber seal. See the pic of what it has done to the seal only after opening and closing a few times. Not a deal breaker to me, but I do not see a solution.
The low rating reflects an expectation that matched the high price. Purchased this rack for my Tacoma for an over the cab rooftop tent. While very pricey, it does the job and is very stable. The disappointment came when I found that despite it being "adjustable", it couldn't be collapsed/lowered enough that my newer fold-over style truck tent would fit in my garage on a stock Tacoma. I've also found that the locks for it freeze very easily. The cross bars have a track that doesn't use standard hardware, in case you want to attach things to the rack on a semi-permanent basis. The price of the "accessories" to mount things like Rotopac cans are expensive and you will have difficulty making your own mounts (Yakima engineers this in, it seems). The price of the "accessories" to mount things like Rotopac cans are expensive and you will have difficulty making your own mounts (Yakima engineers this in, it seems). If you buy this, realize that for most trucks (large or small) it will practically serve only as a ladder/over the cab height rack, you need to buy the cross bars separately, and an adapter kit for Tacoma bed rails. All that before you realize the rack doesn't accommodate off the shelf hardware for most things (hook set). There are much less expensive versions of strong and easier to "customize" over the cab racks for less money.
These are pricey, but....Fully worth it. I went this route for a few options. I needed to carry kayaks with a truck, but I also need the truck for dirt bikes. I park in a lower clearance gargae and cannot have a rack that sticks up 8" over the height of the truck. With that, this rack is the only one that meets my needs.1 - Kayak carrying with the rack is great. I have the height adjusted so this sits about 1 inch over the cab of the truck2 - Dirt bikes - The rear cross bar comes off with 4 screws and in about 2 minutes - easy!3 - The garage - The height adjustable risers can be set once for the kayak height and I still clear the header on the garage. You do have to pay for it, but no other rack that I am aware of meets all of these, and it looks pretty good ... MoreThese are pricey, but....Fully worth it. For now, I have them on order, but had to make some wood ones as a temp fix. They work, but it will all look a bit better with the real ones in place. Install of the towers took about 1 hour or so tops. Very well engineered. If you have a Toyota, you are supposed to get a fit kit to work with the bed racks - not in stock anywhere either! I worked around this with pulling the in bed sliders out, trimming them around the feet of the Yakima towers and re-installing them. In my eyes, there was not any point in buying the fit kit as you would lose the slide function where the towers mount too, so a trimmed down rail was the same end result and saved $110 in the process.
WARNING the HD bar is not included, Very deceptive website description of the product. All the pictures show this truck rack is a complete assembly, including the HD bar. No warning that this $1000 product is not a complete assembly and requires additional parts to be purchased. Even the assembly instruction, first step is to remove the end cap from the HD bar. The HD bar is not included. The box the unit comes in shows pictures of the complete assembly. So you would think the HD Bar is included. The box does show a list of optional accessories. The optional accessories do not list the HD bar.As an aside, OnTrac the sub-tier suppler to REI has its issues, too.
I love how easy it is to install and remove. I leave the base plates when the not in use. The powder coating and wields are rock solid. Once fully installed it is a sound proof install, does not rock in either direction. With a 17' sea Kayak no issues so far. I can boggie down the road 70+ mpg with no worries of anything peeling off. After you work out the process it only takes about 10 mins to install and remove.
