AMS makes it easy! Easy payments with a great product. Yamaha is a top notch electric kit at an affordable price point. Great tones! Pads may be small, but not a problem. New module is a nice upgrade from the 502. Way easier to transport than Roland. Thanks again AMS!

I bought it cause it had a useful app to record audio and video but line level to mixing board on to software and zoom is a breeze. Now i can remotely jam with my granddaughter. I've been a roland user for years and this is my first yamaha set .yamaha has done a great job with this module. Simple with all parameters covered and easy to exchange pads. Most important samples on its library a good out of the box. You can hear a good recording sample from Gabriels studio and the man is a good percussionist. Kudos to yamaha.

It is fun to practice on and you it feels and sounds like you are playing a real kit
I’ve been playing drums since I was 10 . I’ve had some beautiful kits .. and now moved into this electronic kit . I’m very impressed by the simplicity of the set up . It’s response to basic skills to some more advanced playing
I would seriously stack this kit up against others costing 3 times as much. The drum and cymbal sounds are very realistic, and Yamaha’s DTX heads are by far the most natural feeling on the market. The transition between them and my real acoustic heads requires little to no change in technique or execution. They have none of that “trampoline” feel and exaggerated rebound of mesh heads - they simply feel like the real thing. And the DTX-Pro module is loaded with sounds from actual Yamaha acoustic drums, recorded in a real studio from multiple mic positions which you can choose by dialing in the Ambience control. In addition, they added a Compression control so you can get your drum sound to sit perfectly in the mix.I LOVE LOVE LOVE this kit ! My only small criticism ... MoreI would seriously stack this kit up against others costing 3 times as much. My only small criticism has to do with the tom tom brackets : they used Yamaha’s hex-sided arms but only the snare has a ball joint, not the toms. So you cannot rotate the tom pads horizontally; they have to sit level left-to-right. Which is a problem if the brackets are not exact. I’m thinking of replacing the supplied ones with Yamaha ball joint mounts, which I believe will fit. Not a huge deal, just a minor annoyance. Still, I highly recommend this kit. My buddies were blown away when they heard them.Definitely worth waiting for !
The drum set was easy to set up, everything is labelled, so no leads in wrong sockets. Every piece feels top quality, the frame itself could probably be better, but it's standard for these types of sets.I am a beginner, so can only give my thoughts based on that, so keep that in mind. keep in mind that you will need to buy a kick drum pedal separately as it does not come with one, which is a shame, but I guess it gives you options, I bought a double kick pedal along with it, as the kick pad accomodates for it, and seems to work pretty well.As for quiet play, I have not had any complaints from neighbours, but I do only use it in the early evenings, and daytimes, I probably wouldn't recommend using it late at night if you have no sound proofing or live in a small ... MoreThe drum set was easy to set up, everything is labelled, so no leads in wrong sockets. I played this kit live over a weekend and not only was the band blown away by the quality and control but the club owners were keen on it as well. Not a bad thing to have in your pocket. Amazing drum kit, delivers on sound, expandability is significantly better than competing kits in the price range. Ive used both Roland and Yamaha and in this price bracket Yamaha is the superior product without question.
Got this to replace an entry level Yamaha kit (402) and the difference is like playing a NES all of your life and then suddenly switching to an N64. The pads are soooooo much better and give way better rebound similar to my practise pad so i'v already improved without doing anything different. Some reviews complain the pads are still fairly small but that's great for me as I want a compact kit and I think that's one of the points of electric kits anyway. For acoustic, larger drums and cymbals can alter the sound but with edrums you can have any pad size and get the same sound so its just a matter of preference I guess. Personally, the smaller the better, the whole kit set up is only a bit larger than my 402 which is great because iv still got a decent space left in ... MoreGot this to replace an entry level Yamaha kit (402) and the difference is like playing a NES all of your life and then suddenly switching to an N64. Personally, the smaller the better, the whole kit set up is only a bit larger than my 402 which is great because iv still got a decent space left in the room.Anyway, the snare is a decent size and it's great having 3 zones now so I can do rim shots, along with the 3 zone ride, it's really opened up my playing dynamics and options. The real hi hat stand is amazing too, I'v messed around on acoustic kits and this feels quite similar to a real hithat, (except for the hardness of the metal of course) and the pedal feels way better than just the old floor trigger, its easier to control. The new kickpad is great too, it has a more spongy feel than my older kickpad that was very hard. This effects play abit if you are used to a harder kickpad as it feels a bit more like a real bass drum. I'v found initially I'm not as fast on the new pad, so I need to experiment again with spring tension but more experienced drummers should love it and if your just starting out, it's better to learn on this than an overly hard pad.The module is insane, there's about 40 preset kits and tonnes of user presets where you can save your own kits. Theres an ambience, compression and fx dial that you can use to quickly alter the sound of a kit. There's a huge amount of customisation you can do, even tune the drum heads and dampen or add your own samples or fx or use the inbuilt ones. Way more stuff than I'll ever use but I'v made a few kits already, mainly by copying and then adjusting existing kits. The whole kit is really easy to set up, the rack is pretty much set up for you so all you have to do is fold it out and start adding the pads and cymbals. Theres also more space and option to spread the kit out or adjust to your preferences, unlike the 402 where you could really move anything around much.I'v only been drumming for 2 1/2 years and by no means felt that I outgrew the 402 it was a great kit to learn on and would recommend it but the 6k3x has just taken everything up to the next level and beyond and won't need to upgrade for a long time now, if ever.
Totally top-class! Blown away! Flexible, adaptable, lots of whistles and bells - and I've only had it 48 hours! Well worth the time to assemble and set up!
