Got mine in fall 2021. Set up out of the box was right on. Low action, no fret buzz, fret edges on sides of neck were nice and smooth. Guitar plays and sounds great with or without overdrive/distortion pedals. Big and rich sound out of P90 neck pickup. Bridge humbucker has plenty of punch. Love the tuning stability of the hardtail bridge. Fit and finish A-1. The only small thing is, I wish the tone/coil split knob had a little more drag when you turn it, but it works fine. I would rate this guitar equal to or better than my Highway One Strat. If you're thinking about getting a Player Series Strat, check out a 611 or 612 Pacifica first. Everything from Jimi Hendrix to Judas Priest, this guitar rips! Rock On!

it all started with a visit to the music store in my town in Greece..it so far came to 3 of these guitars in 3 different colours! THAT'S how awesome this guitar is! it is a workhorse guitar, not for the faint-hearted or the beginner crew, and it delivers everything IN SPADES! anything I throw at it, be it mild overdrive, heavy distortion, crystal cleans, it can do it ALL! #must buy

Loaded with upgrades at this price level you my have missed in the description. Seymore Duncan P90 in the neck and humbucker with coil splitting in the bridge, Graphtech nut, bridge saddles and string trees and locking Groover tuners. Made in Indonesia but I found nary a finish or fit fault. First noticed this guitar in a you tube video of a Japanese professional musician/instructor? showing a bunch of kids how to play a song called " go go maniac" I believe. She plays great and got tons of tones out of this guitar. I had to have one even though I couldn't get my hands on one to play it first as few stores carry much in Yamaha electrics (three GC near me and none had one in store). Still ordered it and was and still am very happy with it. Plays a lot like my strat ... MoreLoaded with upgrades at this price level you my have missed in the description. Watch the video I mentioned or any other you can find on this guitar and I think you will at least be impressed and probably get one yourself.

Incredibly happy with the build quality. I did buy a 311 first which had some tuning issues. The 611 is WELL worth the extra money with adding the Graphite saddles, the seymour duncan pickups and the maple cap. The bridge pickup in particular was a huge upgrade. Why do I like it? I have had a 90's strat plus (US), G&L, Fender Standard and at least 1 other ST style. I started playing on a tune o matic bridge when I was young and I started with the bad habit of plying with my palm on the bridge. this knocks strats out of tune. I tried blocking bridges with pennies and with wood blocks which but it felt like the strat tone was crushed. This thing is so simple live: 3 way; volume; tappable tone. Great ST sounds, in a hard tail guitar for a great price. Impossible to ... MoreIncredibly happy with the build quality. I did buy a 311 first which had some tuning issues. Great ST sounds, in a hard tail guitar for a great price. Impossible to find elsewhere. This thing is hard to beat in terms of versatility and simplicity. Great ST tone; ability to go to humbucker bridge and a P90 neck. Great tone; great price very giggable instrument. Fantastic choice.
I bought this guitar used and it's a beast. Much better than my mim strat! Simply no comparison. The neck and the electronics make it more fun to play. I can't believe they don't cost twice as much.
Bought a purple one during my lunch break on a spur of the moment decision. It was my first electric, I didnt know what I was doing I just liked the way it looked, but let me tell you..it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I have since added a Les Paul, PRS, and Strat to my collection, but I keep running back to her. Would def by again and recommend to anyone from a beginner to a seasoned guitarist. Beautiful sound, awesome pick ups, smooth fret board, versatile and durable. You can hear and feel the quality as soon as you play it. and the best part...the price. This guitar can def sell for more. For the quality its a steal. Buy it!
Read a review and then saw one at GC. The tones are fantastic. Better than many of the higher end guitars I tried side by side with it. The P90 & Humbucker is a GREAT combination. Plenty of chimmy cleans and rhythms. The bridge plenty of snarl and coil splits. I've got a number of higher end guitars but I keep picking this up over and over. The necks is one of the most comfortable necks I've played. The fret edges need some work but aside its as good as it gets. Don't take my word. Try one and you will see for yourself.
Fantastic instrument. Graph Tech nut and saddles. Versatile pickups. So much fun to play and feels like an instrument that easily could cost three times the price. High end product for a very low price.
Great value guitar from a highly underrated brand. The hardware upgrades on the 611 really elevate the Pacifica, particularly the Seymour Duncan’s. Thin glossed neck and low action plays like a dream. I wish Yamaha would sort out the jack socket though as they have tendency to loosen over time which can be awkward to tighten. Overall though, great package and highly recommend.
You can never go wrong in choosing Yamaha! On its price range, quality is really very good. That’s what I love about yamaha pacificas. This PAC611HFM in particular: flame maple top, seymour duncan pickups, grover locking tuners, graphtec tusq xl on the nut & bridge saddles... for the price, what else can I ask for?!! And the neck, as usual of a pacifica really feels good. Its such a good deal for me.
