Yeti Daytrip Lunch Box Nordic Blue

It is a good SMALL box. I like everything about this box except for the size. The magnetic lid is awesome. I can fit three 16oz bottles of water with a small ice pack and possibly a slim snack or two max. The box does keep cool as long as you prep properly. I put the box open in my freezer for 5 to 10 minutes prior to loading and it keeps my few beverages cool for the entire work day out in my hot van. The product works great for what it is, it is just small. If you need space consider Yeti's larger bag.

Daytrip Lunch Box

I love this lunchbox. Sturdy, durable and easy to clean. Someone mentioned the longevity, which I would agree with. It can take a beating and still keep working! For those that gave low ratings because food was not still cold after a day—-this is not a cooler, it is a lunchbox. Even a cooler wouldn’t necessarily keep something cold all day without the proper ice accessory. I purchased the 1lb ice and it works great, still allowing me to fill it up with a sandwich and other items, that did stay cold. I did not put a bottle in there because I use the 20 oz cup all day long, so I just fill that up at lunch. As always, Yeti lives up to its guarantee and its mission.

Good, but not YET-i great!

It's a great product, but there could be some improvements that would make it even better. A little deeper would let it fit more comfortably the Yeti thin ice. I also recommend a separate "slide in pouch" to put the Yeti thin ice that would keep it apart from the food. Is this waterproof? I ask because the temperature difference caused condensation to appear on the outside of the lunch box (from the cool temperatures inside), something that I thought I was going to avoid with this product.

Great construction, thermally efficient, expensive

I bought this as a gift and it went over great! Yeti makes top-tier equipment and the brand is super recognizable. My only gripe is that you are paying top dollar for that performance and brand. Personally I think Yeti could benefit by focusing their strategy on products that actually benefit from super premium construction and performance (coolers, etc...) rather than diluting their brand image with lunch boxes, camping chairs, and average apparel.

My vote for the (almost) best lunchbox

Maximally efficient dimensions and weight. No space wasted. The magnetic lid closure is strong enough to keep the pack closed under its own weight yet light enough to be opened with simple lift of the lid. The low profile nylon webbing handles are clutched with ease but are not nearly as easily snagged and the zippers are large yet sleek and swift. Interior space is deceptively large - perfect for a man-sized lunch with a drink and a few ice packs. The concave grippy top of the lid accepts the grippier bottom of another DAYTRIP for easy stacking with a small 3-D footprint on the go or in the cupboard. Minimalist overall, yet robust and purposeful. Outdoor lunch box

So far I am very pleased with my new lunch cooler! It's only had one week of use so far, but I wanted to leave a review to point out what I like about it and strongly suggest one way Yeti could make it an even better product.I had a hard time choosing between the Daytrip Lunch Box and the Daytrip Lunch Bag, but ended up choosing this one because of the more rigid construction offering better protection of whatever is inside, the zip closure, and the "lip" feature it has around the top edge that essentially provides a little tray surface if you have no table to eat at and just want to put the Lunch Box in your lap as a dining surface. I love the multiple handles to carry it too, and another smart feature is the magnets that help keep the lid in place! The Yeti Thin Ice products aren't currently in stock, so I haven't used it with those, but I have been using my old random ice packs from other brands and they fit in just fine.My one suggestion to make it even better is that I would LOVE to have this lunch box come with a removable shoulder strap. I actually bought the Large Rambler Bottle Sling along with this (in matching Alpine Yellow), and that product does come with a removable shoulder strap. I tried that strap on this Lunch Box (attaching it to the two side handles), and it works great. I contacted Yeti customer service to see if they could send me another of the Bottle Sling straps so I could keep one on my Bottle Sling and one on my Lunch Box, but when the kind customer service representative looked into it, she found that Yeti doesn't *currently* have replacement Bottle Sling straps available.If Yeti were able to offer replacement Bottle Sling straps in the future (or offer them for this product specifically), it would make the Daytrip Lunch Box even easier to carry with you out on the trails. Fingers crossed!!

Poor, poor product that leaks

I purchased this product May 20 approximately. I used a yeti ice and the bottom of the box leaked. Repeatedly. Poor, poor product. I loved all my prior yeti purchases but not this one. And the return process is so convoluted - I cannot even return a defective product. I have to go through a warranty process. After 1 week! I’m sorry to say my days buying yeti are over.

WORST LUCH BOX EVER!!!!...

I bough this cooler about 9 months ago as a work lunchbox and have never been so disappointed in a Yeti product. This lunchbox is so small that i can't even use it as a work cooler. On a good day I can get 1 ice pack 2 if they are small, a sandwich and a drink. There is no room for container, as I like to bring fruit. I work 12 hour shifts and need at least 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks and snacks. As far as keeping thing cold it does an average job at best. The reason I am writing this now is that I just saw it in my cabinet and realized have haven't used it in months, what a waste of 80 dollars. If you need to carry only snacks and not much more this is for you. I wish I could return this item it is absolutely useless. Worst Yeti Product I Own

Bought the day trip lunch box a few months back. First time I used it (with the 1lb yeti ice) my food was hardly cold at lunch time. I work in a hospital so it’s not like I left my lunch box in the truck or hot sun all day. Used it a few more times after that and had the same outcome, 7 hours later and a not so cold lunch. Threw this lunch box on a shelf for weeks and just used it again the other day. This time I looked at my hopper 18 can yeti soft sided cooler and noticed the zipper is different. The zipper on the hopper cooler has a lock spot that seals all the way around the zipper head, which is why it keeps things cold. The day trip lunch box is a normal zipper where it does not seal when zipped. Don’t waste your money on the day trip lunch box. Instead buy ... MoreBought the day trip lunch box a few months back. Worth the price!

I bought this lunch bag fo my then 10 year old son to use as a regular school lunch box for last school year. Every single day he carried this lunch bag. I washed it regularly with no visible signs of any type of wear. No leaks whatsoever. His lunch was kept cold everyday. Usually during a normal school year, we go through no less than 3 bags. He can continue to use this for the upcoming school year as well. Well worth the price and hype. Highly recommend.
