Are YOU looking for the greatest lunchbox ever?!?

Good lunch-box. Hook and fastener are solid quality, same with the bag in and of itself. It’s a Yeti product, great quality, but a tad bit expensive. Will a $20 lunchbox do the same? Probably. Is half the reason you buy it because of the Yeti brand and you know typically, they’ll do a better job creating a product than the $20 guy, yeah. It’s a lunchbox. Nothing too special here. Should come standard with the smallest ice pack though, only gripe.

Capacity misleading

The capacity is very misleading, because while you think you can close the bag at any number of levels, it only comfortably closes at the last loop like it is in the picture. It also forms a triangular shape when closed which means you only have the full area of the bag for the first few inches, then the bag gets smaller as it slopes in at a 45° angle (see photos). When closed it’s also too short to put a bottle or drink upright and if you lay it down on top of a Yeti thin ice, there isn’t much room left for a sandwich and snack. The medium thin Yeti ice can only lay down (it fits perfectly on the bottom) because when upright it’s again difficult to close the top. Using the upper hooks when tall items are in the bag is doable but creates a really awkward ... MoreThe capacity is very misleading, because while you think you can close the bag at any number of levels, it only comfortably closes at the last loop like it is in the picture. Also, the extra can that this is supposed to fit over the box version is going to be a tight fit and it will have to clip closed on one of the upper hooks which like I said…is difficult and results in an weirdly shaped bag. If you want it to look like the picture when closed you’ll be limited which means it’s probably only suitable for smaller children.Get the box version if you really need a compact “lunch box” that will be carried or put in a backpack, but if you just need to keep your personal food with you in a car or office, upgrade to a Hopper 8 and it can be useful for other things as well and could have enough room for a second persons food on a daytrip.

I had high hopes for this lunch bag, but it has been an all around disappointment. It is not an instance of you get what you pay for. It has nice rugged material on the exterior and it feels like it has thicker than average insulation for a lunch sack. That’s where the positives stop. The rugged fabric and thicker insulation prevent it from compacting very much when empty. The thicker insulation also doesn’t seem to result in better cooling. I have some lunch sacks that I got for free that are much more cheaply made that seem to do a better job of keeping food cool. I have tried using ice packs and even pre cooling the lunch sack in my freezer but the contents are consistently only slightly cool by mid day. And this is just in an air conditioned office. The Yeti Lunch Bag Cooler is an outstanding product that truly lives up to the Yeti reputation for quality and durability. Its superior insulation keeps food and beverages perfectly chilled for hours, making it ideal for long workdays or outdoor activities. The bag's sturdy construction ensure it can withstand daily wear and tear, while the sleek design and convenient size make it easy to carry. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, high-performance lunch cooler.

I really wanted to like it | ---->Too small<-----|
11 April 2024

I have a YETI water bottle and a YETI cup that I use daily so I like the quality of YETI products. I wanted to like this bag. I like the material, the magnetic closure, the build quality. But it's just too small. I want to be able to take a piece of leftover pizza out of the fridge on a paper plate covered in tin foil, toss it in my lunch bag and go. A lot of containers I would have to position sideways to get them in here which runs the risk of spilling. I want the bottom to be bigger. Like 8" wide by 10" in length. If they made a bigger version of this particular lunch bag, I would buy it.

Just "ok" doesn't stay as cold for as long!

I bought this because my job sometimes can't give me breaks in a good time frame. Some days I won't get a break until 30 minutes before I leave, so I need a lunchbox that can truely last 8 hours or even 12+Unfortunately this bag is just....OK. I bought 2 of the ice packs for it specifically the yeti thin ice. I'd recommend a bigger size up or you'll need 2 to cover the bottom of the bag perfectly side by side. The bag does keep stuff cold but it's just "cold" not really cold or super cold. I often have eggs or fish or other foods that easily spoil so I need this to last. If your just packing a sandwich and water it's fine but a full meal I'm not feeling works for a long time. Otherwise, like I said it's just "ok"

Just what I needed!
4 January 2024

Having always used a large hard-case lunchbox in the past, I was somewhat skeptical about a lunch bag suiting my needs. Turns out this was just what I needed. It holds more food than I thought it would - I can easily pack my usual glass snap-lock container with my main course, plus an apple, protein bar, and a silicone bag of veggies. There is also room for my trackball, which goes back and forth with me to the office since I work from home half the time. Insulation seems to be sufficient, though I'm rather lax on that aspect. The fact that the lunch bag packs down nearly flat when empty is neat, but I don't think I'll being using that feature often. Build quality seems excellent. Overall, I'm quite pleased with it, and expect that it will last me a very long time.

Medicine Bag
6 December 2023

Decided on this lunch bag because of the size and insulation. I needed something that looked better than my drawstring AARP bag I found in the closet to store my medication on the go. This is perfect to keep my medication / tinctures standing upright and cool for short or long trips along with a light snack.Would love to see inside pockets or elastic holders to keep my glass tincture bottles in place. A small pocket for my cell phone or credit card would be nice and a shoulder strap. Material is very sturdy and I’m glad it doesn’t smell like plastic bags upon opening the packaging. Would buy again & like to try other soft cooler products in the future.

Wasn't sure I needed it, but I was totally wrong. One of my best purchases so far and I own quite a fair bit of YETI merch.I thought the Hopper Flip 8 would be a good solo option for work, but this is defiantly more suited for my personal needs. Your own lunch options will vary but I am using mine for soda, so I put a medium thin ice on the bottom, lay 3 cans of soda on their side, 3 more cans of soda on their side, then put another medium thin ice on top (or two small Yeti ice side-by-side.) Seal the bag and I have basically a "soda sandwich" in the bag that is colder than the fridge. It's ridiculous how well the bag keeps it cold.If condensation is something you have to worry about due to the kind of food you pack in your lunch (i.e.frozen meals) or the kind ... MoreWasn't sure I needed it, but I was totally wrong. (I saw one user's photo with condensation on the outside of his bag and it makes me wonder if he had actual ICE in his YETI that melted?)I actually like this lunch bag so much, I did a super quick video review. Fellow YETI friends... I write reviews occasionally but have NEVER made a product review.... I REALLY like this bag.And as a bonus, I attached a strap to it and thought I could demonstrate how to clip/unclip it so you don't damage your YETI straps.Hope you enjoy the video and if you are thinking of purchasing this Lunch Bag, make sure you pick up the YETI ICE! It's 'da bomb!

Worth every cent!
21 September 2024

Purchased for my husband who always forgets to put his food in the fridge at work. Now he doesn’t have to as 1x Yeti freezer brick keeps the bag insulated all day, hence him keeping it on hid desk for easy access throughout the day. He loves it and said it is the best lunch carrier/cooler he’s ever had and he’s tried many. It says it can be used to keep items warmed also but he hasn’t sampled that as yet. Clever design with the looped fastening hooks ensuring items inside are snug. Good quality and worth the money.
