Best Lid

This is yeti's best lid. I have a rambler that came with their old standard cap, and one that came with the new chug cap. Both of those require two hands to drink from. This is the only lid that allows you to drink from it only using one hand and its functionality outstrips their other lids so easily that yeti should be ashamed of themselves for not offering a rambler with this lid out of the box. By not offering this lid with the rambler, they have essentially made the rambler $13 more expensive as they know people will have to pay more to get the functionality that should have come with their original purchase.

Forced to spend extra money.

I had to buy this because not all the colors of the water bottle were able to personalized with this lid. I reached out to customer service multiple times and no one cares. My son is autistic and will only drink out of the rambler with the cap. It also has to be the navy blue bottle. In order to get a new one personalized I had to spend extra to get this separate, even though they’re included with every other color. Makes no sense. Not one customer service rep took the time to actually understand or show compassion for my problem. We have been a loyal customer for years. If this wasn’t the only bottle my son drinks from I definitely would have taken my business elsewhere.

Good alternative to the chug cap

It comes with two straws and you have to cut them to length depending on which bottle size you have. The packaging is clever in that it has pre marked lines on where to cut for your bottle size.As much I like the standard chug cap, this works well when you just want a quick sip of water but you have to draw suction quite a bit in order for the water to come up.It’s not extremely difficult, but if you’re used to chugging water then this might be a pain for you.Just be mindful of its intended purpose as it’s not for everyone. I use it for the gym when lifting and hot yoga when I only want quick sips.

Minor straw malfunction
26 August 2023

Great lid, good mouthfeel when drinking from this lid. been using it daily for about 3 (?) weeks. no drips or drops when bottle is laying down or being tossed around in my motorcycle. The only thing which has only happened once because the ice got so cold it re froze together... the straw came out whilst putting the lid on and didn't fully dethatch until quite a few sips latter. Would be nice if YETI would make a slight lip to hold the straw or "seat it: either way still super happy with it. lol kinda complaining about a product working too well :)

My least favorite rambler cap
10 February 2023

I do not like straws, however, I have used this cap for many purposes. Mainly horseback riding, which, it performs amazingly. The biggest benefit of this cap is that it allows for quick 1 handed access to any size Yeti Rambler Bottle without the need to lift it off a desk or above your chin. The biggest negative in my opinion is that it uses a straw, and those that struggle with straws know they make you burp, they can cause leaking all over the bottle, they also are not to great for your intestines/stomach overall.

Not a wide straw
4 June 2023

Pretty disappointed. On some Yeti bottles that come with the straw cap included yeti brags that the straw was extra wide, making it easier to drink faster. So naturally I expected this cap to have the same design. Sadly no. It's just like every other straw in the industry, frustratingly slow to drink from. I don't know why they don't make the wide straw standard, or at least something you can buy separately if you get a bottle that like i did that doesn't come with a straw. That (wide straw) was a huge feature I had expected when I chose to invest in a hydration solution with Yeti. I guess the only way to get it is to buy the bottle that comes with it. Now I'm doubting my whole purchase... bottle and all.

Straw sizing not user friendly
28 August 2022

For a pricey top, its function shouldn't have to rely upon the engineering skills of the customer. Packaging is hard to open, so the final assembly "ruler" gets a little destroyed before use. But even if the packaging was easier to open, the directions on how to size the straw are unfairly vague and minimalist, so I now have a straw that is too long, and no easy way to get the sizing right. When the straw is too long, the cap and bottle do not meet without some force, and when they do meet, the cap does not align with the bottle threads, so it takes several tries to get the cap screwed on. Once screwed on, at the expense of forcing the straw to bend, the sipper is a bit awkward to sip from, requiring a stronger suck from the user than a typical straw. I can appreciate that Yeti's costs might be kept down by a cap and straw product that would work for all bottle sizes, but it doesn't easily work for all bottle sizes, given that its function depends on user modification.

Super Happy With My Purchase
1 April 2023

I've had my yeti Rambler since 2020 and it's one of my favorite pieces of drinkware. I recently had to get a new chug cap so I thought I would try out the straw cap too and I love it. It's a little confusing at first glance, but super easy to set up. I like how the straw fits ALL ramblers despite the size differentials. I have the 26oz! This works really well, the sucking power is powerful, the straws are nice and sturdy and I like how the top, like with my original chug cap, has a handle on it for when I want to lug it around.

The Best Traveler Bottle & Cap Sans Leakage

Living in subtropical Florida requires constant fluid replacement so I constantly carry my favorite cold libation in a vacuum sealed bottle. However, I had yet to purchase a Yeti Bottle due to my ignorance that they also made an easily accessible cap from which one can open and sip their beverage without a fuss and that included an easy carrying handle.Happening upon a Yeti product sale at my local hardware store I noticed the small child's 12oz bottle that contained the afore mentioned cap including 2 straws. Voila! They finally started making the missing piece I'd been looking for., I thought. Yet, I needed a bigger bottle than 12oz to carry around all day, so I purchased not only the 12 oz but also the 26 oz bottle after verifying that the cap would fit both ... MoreLiving in subtropical Florida requires constant fluid replacement so I constantly carry my favorite cold libation in a vacuum sealed bottle. I asked the customer rep of the store if they sold the caps separately but unfortunately they were uninformed. FINALLY, I had assembled an attractive easy carry, accessible and durable hot or cold bottle to meet my demands! After enjoying my new found accessory I returned before the sale ended and purchased an 18 oz bottle as well and low and behold I also found they had the Yeti Rambler Straw Cap sold separately, so I bought it as well. Now I'm outfitted with an assortment of colored bottles with varying liquid capacities upon which I apply either my orange or black straw cap. Leakage hasn't been a problem at all as long as one releases the pressure build up by lifting the cap spout gradually when using carbonated beverages. My only con is that as far as I am aware , Yeti only sells RAMBLER STRAW CAPS in the color BLACK, so unless you purchase the child's 12 oz Rambler Bottle in a different color and transfer the cap to a larger size bottle will you get a different color cap than black. Thus,HEY YETI WE WANT MORE COLORS THAN BLACK IN YOUR RAMBLER STRAW CAP....PRETTY PLEASE! and PLEASE ADD A POSSIBLE LOCK SYSTEM!...THANKS!Addendum: this cap is not locked and therefore is not suitable for unattended travel where leakage most certainly would occur.

great but needs one little improvement
7 August 2022

I have been wanting to buy this for quite some time and finally did. I mostly love it but could see one big improvement. First off, I have had no issues with leaking as some others have stated. I have a 36oz. Rambler and found it very difficult to unscrew the lid and drink if I only had one hand available (ie. while driving), so this straw cap solves that problem easily. My only issue with this cap is that I think it should have some kind of cover that easily slides or flips out of the way to protect the mouth piece part from dirt, bugs, etc. I use my Yeti daily, the majority of the time outdoors while working or hiking or whatever and the mouth piece, especially if left a little damp by your last drink, seems to attract the dirt and bugs.
