Yonex Astrox 99 Game White Tiger 3U5 - Strung Badminton Racquet

Purchased Astrox 99 Pro, delivery was fine. Strings broke within a couple days after normal playing. When contacted, the staff said its from mishit. I expected either restringing or refunding string cost as it was only 2 days from purchase. I am writing this review as they asked for how things look and feel after my purchase.

Great racquet. I used a Astrox 6 game for a long time which costs $119. But this 77 Tour makes a lot of difference. Feels great and quick in hand. It makes it much easier to use the correct techniques. The $60 difference is well worth it.

Good Valued & Lightweighted racket

Yonex Astrox Flash Boost FB is a good valued & lightweighted racket. The strung weight of racket is around 78g. For my idea, I would like to buy a lightweighted racket for my wife or daughter. They enjoyed to play with this racket becuase of lightweighted and easy to handle. It will be a great choice if it can come with a free cover.

Great intermediate player racquet upgrade

Upgraded from a Yonex Nanoflare 100 to this. As a player progressing from beginner to intermediate, this was great racquet upgrade in comparison to my previous racquet. Noticeable better power performance and easier handling during both offence and defence. The racquet also provided better feedback.Went with Yonex BG 66 Ultimax strings, 26lb tension (0.65mm, Best Repulsion Power)

Great racket

Having started playing again after a ten year break, i was looking for a good racket to get up to speed again. Technology has certainly moved on since i last bought a racket. Obviously iam not playing anywhere near as well as i used to but ive found this a good balance. I can easily get lobs to the back of the court and it is nice and fast for defensive shots. There is a nice balance between flex and stiffness and i like the slightly head heavy for smashes. This is certainly a good racket to get me started again.

LIght but Powerful

I have purchased this racquet from yumo about 3 months ago.I chose the 5u version as im investing into a light racquet, so I wanted it to be as light as possible!I am extremely happy with my decision being a doubles player speed is important and with this racquet being light you're not missing any time recovering from fast shots.Stringed with bg66 force this racquet gives perfect balance of power and speed. Nanoflare 700 - great for doubles

I only used it few times but really like it. Especially when you play at the net, this racket is fantastic. But for Smasher, it might not be as powerful as you want. I would like to string it with Exbolt but unfortunate, that string was not available so I went with Nanogy 95. Also very good.

What a beast!

If I could give it a 4.5 rating, I would!This racket is amazing! It's light and quick but still has a good hit power. It's an absolute pleasure playing with it.Our rackets arrived super quick and through the website, it was very easy to understand in what areas the racket would perform its best. That really helped me make a more informed decision.The only reason I rated it 4.5 instead of 5 is because I was expecting to get a racket cover (or just a racket head cover) with it as well. Since it's a high end and expensive racket, I was sure that would be a given.But nevertheless, the service was amazing :)

My all time favorite racket is the ti10 with 24lbs of bg85 string. A little light racket but I generate a lot of power and all around touch.With that being said, now I'll comment on the Astrox so you have a comparison. I usually don't have a high tension string job but I thought I might try it out with the this racket and string combo. Found this combo to have flat response when smashing but with good control. The racket feels good overall and once I change the string and lower the tension I'm sure this racket will feel even better. Bought this racquet after watching a video on Badminton Hq. Had been looking for something which suited my game, as something didn’t feel right with previous racquet. Found accompanying video insightful, From first use of racquet it just felt right, then and the more I use it. Have bought another as a spare and it’s my favourite go to Racquet.👍🏽
