Great racket for playing doubles especially if you are a back court player. This racket requires less effort for powerful smashes but 100zz gives you a stronger smash for sure if your main focus is to pull strongest smashes. Pros about this rackets are that its got wider sweet spot and shorter shaft for more effective and faster hitting. Only con I have is the price. I'd strongly recommend this racket to people who play at least 2-3 times a week and are intermediate in skills to notice the difference from lower level rackets.

Amazing doubles racketIf you are looking for a good doubles racket, this is it. They've made significant improvements on the 88D pro over the 88D just on the overall playability of the racket. You get basically the same good pop and power on your smash but has a much better rebounding snapback and less tiring than the 88D. Flat drive plays are very good although not as good as the 88S but still good enough for fast doubles exchange, but you do get the extra power from the back with this racket over the 88S pro. Net shots and front court handling are much better than the 88D. I've strung mine with the new ExBolt strings and it's just a joy to play with. Definitely recommend for avid doubles players.

Although it is mentioned head heavy, its has good performance at mid and front courts. Its very impressive with power shots at the rear court. Happy with the purchase.

Bought this racket knowing in advance that it is head heavy. I would have preferred it a bit more balanced after using it a couple of times but it's not overly head heavy, just an individual preference and what I was looking for. None the less, still giving it 5 stars as it's a very good racket with good control.
After seeing some reviews online I picked this racket as it was head heavy and more powerful. I now feel my back of court game is better with more power in the shots and it still has a great feel at the net.
It is a very very good racket. It means the problem with my game is me.I don't know if other rackets are more powerful or have greater touch, but at my level this racket has enough of both. Thanks. PS fast delivery.
Classic balanced yonex product for doubles with enough ability to lead attack smash alongside quick reaction to recover for next response. Ideal for net placing shots.Well balanced enough for back hand response with quality shot generation ability.Overall, a cracking racquet for doubles of Astrox series. VFM element is recognisable while hitting with it, especially when you only winning.
Thanks for the speedy delivery to NZ.I mostly use 3U Yonex racket, but these in 4U is just perfect (3U would be too heavy). Can defend very well as these aren't too head heavy. Can produce shots without effort, and a very user friendly racket, didn't need to re-adjust my swing timing much coming from a Nanoray 800.It definitely feels much better than my old Voltrics Z force, also in 4U. With the voltrics I could never get the timing right for some reason, and sweet spot is also much smaller.
Hello everyone I can say something about yonex astrox 88d pro.first time I feel it heavy so play smash very excellent. If you want play with astrox 88d pro 3u 5G your hands need strong. So I verry like yonex astrox 88D pro 3u -5G.thanks.
Second purchase from Badminton HQ and can't fault them on product price and delivery. Badminton HQ site if full of useful information about Racket types, helping to cut through the jargon and make an informed decision on your needs as a player. As for the Astrox 88D Pro, after a few hours playing, I definitely notice an improvement in the power i can generate with it during attcking.Highly recommend Badminton HQ and the Yonex Astrox Racket range.
