Its complex, it has noticeable layers and a definite warmth to it. Because of that complexity and also because I received it during a season I wouldn't necessarily pair or with for myself or my climate it comes across as a cold weather fragrance as opposed to the humid heat I was in when I first experienced it. Now that Ive waited and tried it in multiple circumstances, I think I have a new appreciation for it. It has depth and a seriousness that I wouldnt have initially gravitated towards. It smells like a very dignified, very refined and elegant woman in a cashmere or suede pea coat, a lady who oozes class. Its aspirational. On the casual day to day, it feels a bit more studious on for me, a bit serious. But on a chilly night, it gives off a warm, cozy, stable vibe. It feels safe and self assured. On a hot day, it feels stuffy and out of place for me, but I am excited for the colder weather, where this just seems right. It smells like the confidence and structures poise of leather with the comfortable support and ease of cashmere. It definitely makes you want to walk taller, aware of yourself. Its not sloppy, nor flirty. Its sensual and seductive without cheese. Its definitely a timeless, classic scent and I'm glad to have tried it because if I had gone off my initial first reaction, I don't think Id have such a dignified and elegant fragrance in my rotation. This one was sadly disappointing. it is very very light floral Rose fragrance. it is described as sparkling bright and floral which it is all of those things, it is just a very light. So light that the scent is barely detectable and last all of about 45 minutes and then I can't smell anything anymore. I'm not a huge Rose lover in fragrances so that is possibly why I don't care for this one. It reminds me a little bit of Lancome Idole. I cannot stop smelling my arm, it smells so good. Don't cheat yourself- get the 3 oz bottle! A roller ball of this was 72.00 in the store. You won't need to douse yourself in this- a small amount will do the job. You will be noticed without being overbearing. This is not a paid review- but my honest opinion as a woman who loves parfume.
