I will start this out by saying that I’m not a huge fan of this scent, but I like for reviews to be more objective even when it’s on something as subjective as fragrance. From an objective standpoint after the first 10 or so minutes of wear this becomes a decent floral/vanilla mens fragrance.I say after 10 minutes because I’d rate this a 2/5 when I first spray it on the skin. During the initial sniff the scent smells very soapy as opposed to floral and the scents have not blended. The patchouli is very off-putting at that time, the pepper feels disconnected. Within 2-3 minutes the scent starts to change and by the time you hit 10 the blend smells much more elegant. When first applying the fragrance, I was met with a fresh citrusy and spicy top notes of orange blossom and black pepper. As the fragrance dries down, the freshness slowly transitions to a woody and sweet scent of bourbon vanilla, patchouli, and woody notes. Given the scent profile of the fragrance I feel that the vanilla note makes it a great night time fragrance, however, with the orange blossom note it can be worn during the daytime as well. I definitely think that this fragrance can be worn year round as it is well balanced between the freshness, spiciness, and sweetness of this fragrance. The projection of this fragrance was really good with the longevity on average on my skin being 6-7 hours. Overall, I loved this fragrance and I love what Ysl did with this line. I definitely suggest trying this fragrance out if you do not mind vanilla notes as this fragrance is very versatile and is a compliment getter as well.
