Similar to the eau de parfum, the packaging is nice and understated and the presentation of the bottle is very chic with an elegant black shiny bottle and the classic YSL printed on it. I am quite impressed as very few brands are able to make a heavy hitting cologne that has three (maybe even 4) layers of complexity and is long lasting on your skin. I can smell it for almost 4-6 hours after I put it on. Overall, I would describe it as modern yet masculine with a sweet touch and I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for something elegant yet forward.

It's basically a more dense and thicker version of the original MYSLF. The difference is that the original is more versatile and fresher than this one. With the original I personally get a prominent orange blossom note that makes, along with some sweetness, and woody notes, but the orange blossom is the main note I get. With le Parfum, I get a more dense and thicker scent profile, the orange blossom gets tone down a little bit, and instead you get a more amber woody smell, with some vanilla sweetness but less than with the original. It is fresh, warm, slightly sweet, slightly spicy, sexy, sensual and inviting! I think it is perfect for everyday wear, but it will really shine in the evening and for date nights. I have already gotten several compliments from women while wearing this fragrance, asking me what I am wearing because I smell really good! It is controlled well, don't get me wrong, but to some it could be a bit much.So to conclude, if you like vanilla scent, you would like this one. In terms of when you can wear this, I would say any night time events that's not strictly professional. Something like date nights, clubbing, bar hopping, etc. are good events to wear this Parfum as it gives off a party vibe. I did wear it to office once and once to movies and quickly realized it's not for regular office days. If you're having some kind of year end celebration, sure wear this and enjoy your time. But it is quite strong as you would expect from a Le Parfum.All in all, I do strongly recommend this fragrance if you like something that's sweet

I received this product for free from YSL and Influenster in exchange for my unbiased review.I was so close to loving this cologne, but one of the ingredients (I think it was the patchouli) is just too strong in this fragrance. The scent starts off with a very quick peppery, spicy scent. This wears off after 15 minutes, and then transitions to a sweet, orangey scent. However, throughout the whole thing, the patchouli is obnoxiously apparent, and hits me in a way that’s almost incense-y at the back of my throat. It reminds me of a car air freshener that’s a little too strong. The scent starts off with a very quick peppery, spicy scent. This wears off after 15 minutes, and then transitions to a sweet, orangey scent. However, throughout the whole thing, the patchouli is obnoxiously apparent, and hits me in a way that’s almost incense-y at the back of my throat. It reminds me of a car air freshener that’s a little too strong. Aside from this I really enjoyed how the spiciness transitioned to the sweeter notes.This fragrance definitely works best as a summer time night scent, and I could definitely see it being a perfect choice for date-night. I think the bottle design further suggests this as the sleek, straightforward design feels like something you’d see James Bond use before meeting a lady at a dimly lit cocktail bar.The pump is consistently strong, and has a decently wide spread. The scent doesn’t project too far away from your body, but leaves a slightly stronger sillage than expected.Overall, I do enjoy this fragrance, except for the patchouli. I hope that I’ll grow more used to the patchouli because if not for that, I could easily see myself using this frequently in my rotation. I think it would be difficult to find someone that hates this scent. I will keep using this and will update my review if I find that I am growing more used to the patchouli.
Coming from being a fan of the Ysl Y line of fragrances I was excited to try out the new line of fragrances from YSL called MYSELF. Luckily, I was given an opportunity to try out the newest fragrance from the MYSELF line called YSL Myself Le parfum. When presented with the packaging of the new fragrance, I noticed that the box as well as the bottle itself had a dark matte mysterious and elegant design. With being a fragrance collector myself, I was surprised by the packaging as I never seen a design like this before. I was happy to hear this as with refilling the bottle, you are able to reduce waste. When spraying the fragrance, I noticed that the atomizer had a nice distribution and felt premium which I loved. When wearing this fragrance for a couple weeks I have noticed a few key observations about this fragrance. When first applying the fragrance, I was met with a fresh citrusy and spicy top notes of orange blossom and black pepper. As the fragrance dries down, the freshness slowly transitions to a woody and sweet scent of bourbon vanilla, patchouli, and woody notes. Given the scent profile of the fragrance I feel that the vanilla note makes it a great night time fragrance, however, with the orange blossom note it can be worn during the daytime as well. I definitely think that this fragrance can be worn year round as it is well balanced between the freshness, spiciness, and sweetness of this fragrance. The projection of this fragrance was really good with the longevity on average on my skin being 6-7 hours. Overall, I loved this fragrance and I love what Ysl did with this line. I definitely suggest trying this fragrance out if you do not mind vanilla notes as this fragrance is very versatile and is a compliment getter as well.
