I have been waiting for this gem and it did not disappoint! I cannot accurately describe how incredibly soft and luscious this formula is. The YSL Pur Couture Caring Satin Lipstick with Ceramides in the N8 color was absolutely no exception. Let’s start with the packaging- I have NEVER come across a YSL product that did not have Impecable packaging. This is DEFINITELY worth the splurge for a solid lipstick that will get you a ton of compliments and make you feel incredibly confident. Run to pick this up in all your favorite colors!

I have never had a lipstick that felt this smooth (like butter) on my lips & I’ve purchased every luxury brand out there. I received the N44 shade, which is a beautiful satiny light colored nude with a hint of pink, which would look great on anyone who likes lipsticks that aren’t loud. This YSL lipstick lasts a long time too, not all day, but then none of them do, especially when eating & it doesn’t bleed like some, it stays put. The case is absolutely beautiful & definitely an eye catcher. It’s sturdy & heavy too. As a bonus you can also use the case like a mirror for reapplying, so no need to cutter up a small purse with an extra mirror. I’ve recently switched back to regular lipsticks after buying into the hype of liquid lipsticks & found them to be extremely drying. This YSL lipstick is by far the best one I’ve tried & I will definitely buy more colors. Yes, the price is steep, but you won’t regret it, it’s an investment & will last three times as long as the lower priced brand because of the pigment & composition of it. As with most things these days you get what you pay for & I’ve found that especially in cosmetics the higher price is worth it.

The lipstick has an immediate hydrating, plumping effect that minimizes lines. The coverage is medium to full, but with a light hand it's buildable. Unlike many satin lipsticks, there isn't tackiness. My only suggestion would have been is to magnetize the cover and tube. Feeling the click from magnetization assures that the lipstick is sealed.
