Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Sheer Matte Lipstick - 109 Rose Denude

I love this lipstick. I own multiple colors in all their formulas. The square shape takes a while to get used to, but once you do it's SO easy to use. The formula glides on, has great longevity, doesn't move around your face, and is just so easy to wear. A lot of times sheer lines feel like an afterthought, but these are done well. There's enough color payoff that they look different from each other and you can see it on your lips, but it's not total coverage. Ultimately - this lipstick performs like a luxury lipstick and is worth the money

110- Berry Exposed -- Berry Nice :)

So, I'm a fan of YSL, generally, and this lipstick is no exception, although not my fave amongst my army of YSL lipsticks. I do like the color. It is easily buildable, so with a couple of light coats, this still looks like a natural berry shade, even on my light skin. YSL colors, generally, tend to look like natural colors (at least on me), which is one thing I love.I only gave 4 stars because it didn't apply with the same luxe feel of most YSL products. This may be because it's a matte. And as a matte, it still doesn't feel drying, which is nice. The packaging is nice, in typical YSL style, but not as pretty as some (personally, I love the gold tones).But if you like matte shades, particularly, I would say this is a winner. Another solid lippy by YSL

I'm definitely a fan of this lipstick, so much so that I bought it in two other colors (16 and 107) . It goes on light for a more natural look at first swipe but is very buildable.While it was matte it was a more natural looking matte that I really dig, it didn't look or feel like a mask of color on my lips. It's staying power isn't great but considering it doesn't dry my lips out that seemed an ok trade off.Now for the kind of gimmicky application. I'll admit when I first saw this I hated it. After messing around with it for a few minutes I actually get it and like it. It made application on my cupids bow precise which is nice and almost made it so that it lined my lips, which helped when I was in a hurry to get out the door. Beautiful color, not long lasting, overpriced

First off, the color is beautiful. It’s no surprise that this color is sold out everywhere at all times. I just so happened to come across one at my local Sephora store.However, this lipstick barely lasts two hours, even with lip primer. I wouldn’t consider it matte like it’s advertised to be. I would say it’s more of a creamy/balmy consistency.Overall I would say for the price, it’s not worth it. I expect my YSL lipsticks to perform better than this. Maybe some of the other colors have more staying power because many of the other reviews say it’s long lasting. I will continue to use because the sheer wash of burgundy color is beautiful for fall/winter, but I would not repurchase.

Best matte lipstick imaginable!

This lipstick is everything I hoped it would be! The slim diamond shape really helps you get the color exactly where it needs to be. I was impressed with how beautiful the color was with just one swipe on the lips! It really glides on easily. Sheer yet bright, much like a stain. You can build it up with a few more passes on the lips. I have fairly dry lips, and I couldn’t believe how comfortable the formula was. It was so moisturizing that the first time I wore it I had to look in the mirror every few minutes as I couldn’t believe it was matte. I have olive skin with cool undertones, and 104 Fuchsia Intime is gorgeous on me. I love the bold color, but because it’s matte it doesn’t look tacky and instead looks casual, especially if you go with one swipe. Don’t spend much time looking at swatches

I agree with another reviewer that the swatches are the primary problem here. This is not pigmented like a traditional lipstick, like they appear on the models. Pure Nude is light in every sense of the word. It’s pretty but I feel like I have to be careful applying it or I could easily break the bullet. It is matte but I’ve only used a little at a time because I saw the color getting splotchy, so I could see how it could lose that matte finish and become more shiny with more product. The Pure Nude color is probably a lighter pink than my lips and I’m very light skinned. I like it because it’s new and interesting but I may have gone with the red-orange color, had I known it was much less opaque. New favorite lipstick!

I want to be absolutely clear that I am a lipstick fanatic (and hoarder). I've tried many colors and formulas and am incredibly picky about what I put on my lips.This lipstick has become my new favorite for the upcoming winter/fall seasons. I think that it's the most lovely red color and it's a really effortless formula. It's not too drying and I can either do a sheer coat of it or do a few more swipes and get a more opaque result. Another plus is that it makes me feel super sophisticated when I whip it out of my bag to reapply! This color was sold out when I visited Korea over the summer and when I came back to the US, I had to call 5 Sephoras before I could find a store that had it in stock!To be transparent, there are some cons as well. Perfect lipstick! But watch out for the smell.

I didn’t have any drying from this product which is always good! For the blurring technology, I thought it worked about as well as most high end lipsticks, maybe just a tiny bit better. So, it smells like berries and chemicals combined, which smells both nice and bad and I find the more I use/smell it, the worse it smells to me. So do be weary of that. Otherwise this lipstick is fantastic and my new favorite!! (I have over 100 lipsticks so that’s saying something)

Really matte stays all day ❤

I bought this in shade antonym got it in the sales too so an absolute bargain. And wow I was not disappointed whatsoever ! This is really pigmented just with one application. Its a beautiful nudey pink colour and could wear as daytime wear or evening wear it fits all. Had so many compliments wearing this also. I wanted a lipstick that would stay on and not transfer onto my face mask or drinks when out with friends but also that suited my skin tone as I am very fair skinned. This honestly ticked both boxes. It really does stay all day without re application and really does suit my skin tone beautifully. The only slight issue I found was the shape of the lipstick can make it a little hard to apply for the first time if your not used to it.
