Tasmania’s Best-Kept Natural Secret! One of the rarest varieties of honey in the world, Zea Gourmet Kunzea Honey is organically harvested from happy bees foraging in the remote and pristine wilderness of North-East Tasmania and Flinders Island ans produced from the nectar of the Kunzea ambigua flower. This remarkable miracle of nature is only ethically harvested once a year in Spring from bees that pollinate the native Kunzea ambigua flower during a short seasonal window. For every five drums of other common native honey, you can only get one drum of Kunzea - making it very rare. Once sold out, that’s it until next season! Drizzle it over crumpets, spread it on toast, stir it into porridge or eat it straight off the spoon. 100% raw, cold-extracted and unprocessed, the highly nutritious and natural medicinal properties of this beautiful golden nectar have been preserved for your enjoyment. It is truly one of nature's special gifts – and it’s so delicious! If you want a signature taste of Australia, this is it.

A rich tasting addictive honey.

The Flinders Island Kunzea honey has a rich golden colour and a depth of flavour that is unique. We usually buy local honey as we prefer it and we usually take about 4-6 months to finish one jar. Since becoming ‘hooked’ on Kunzea we have finished 4 jars in the same time as I can’t go one day without having some! Highly recommend it!

I'm a really big fan of tasting raw honey from different places in the world. The Kunzea raw honey is so beautiful. There's something really special about Tasmanian honey bees that create such an incredible bouquet in this honey. I will be buying more for sure.

Absolutely delish
28 September 2021

Well honey, honey's are honeys but I must admit that Kunzea Honey is particularly delish. It is absolutely gorgeous to look at too. Rather like golden syrup in colour and the flavour is very rich and much nicer than normal honey. In fact I hope you'll let me know when you get your next lot of Kunzea Honey as I presume that will be when the Kunzea flower is in bloom. I don't even know what a Kunzea flower is but it sure tastes delish on bread and butter! If I had an intestinal camera I'd like to send you a photo of it going down the hatch but I don't and you'll just have to believe me.

Delicious and healthy
25 August 2022

I bought a jar because the description appealed... pure, from a native species with known healing and anti-inflammatory properties. And the honey is delicious! Being so pure, those health properties are not diluted away. The honey is thick and a little goes a long way. I am a fan and will be a regular buyer.

Kunzea Honey
19 August 2022

I'm a huge fan of honey and generally eat a spoonful everyday on my morning toast. I also like to try different flavours and generally purchase locally made honey as well as Manuka honey. The flavour of Kunzea honey is most unusual and it may take me a little while to get used to it. As I've only used it twice, I'll reserve my opinion until I finish the jar.

Kunzea Honey
18 May 2023

I have always loved the distinctive taste of Tasmanian Leatherwood honey. Now I recently bought Zea’s Kunzea Honey to see how it compares. I have to say it is the Yin to Leatherwood’s Yang; different, yet they belong together. I really like the Kunzea honey for its mild, floral and light flavour, sunshiny and herbal taste. Lovely on yoghurt and in salad dressings. I’m very happy to have found it.

Nectar of the Gods!
10 August 2022

The Kunzea honey from Flinders Island is the best tasting honey available! A delicate taste, it’s my go to breakky spread! I bought enough to share with family and they have said it’s a beautiful taste! Just like honey from their childhood! I have to admit I’ve been off the honey in recent years, but this one has brought me back! I’m hooked!

Nice honey, but not great honey
9 August 2022

For the rather steep price, I must admit that I was expecting a much more exotic honey than the Kunzea that I received. Yes, it was OK. But for my taste it was no better than, say Leatherwood, or Banksia which are also rather pricey, but not as expensive as the Kunzea. All in all, I would sum up my experience as a bit disappointing. Perhaps the "health benefits" experienced by some consumers justifies the cost.

Yummy 😋
7 August 2022

This is the best honey I've ever tasted and I enjoy trialing lots of different brands of honey. It's flavour is deliciously different from the others so that was a nice surprise - must bee all that beautiful fresh air 🙂I have it in my tea and on toast- I'll branch out to using it in my baking as well. Will definitely be buying more....so I don't run out. Thank you Kunzea Honey.
