I received the old freedom mono tent roughly 8 years ago and still love it. For a budget tent its quality out preforms tents triple its price range. I have literally spent hundreds of nights in the bush in it and it has keeped me safe and dry every time. Its been buried in snow and faced down severe winds on exposed ranges on Stewart Island and come out unscaved. Its been through thick and thin with me but sadly the pole gave in and has a small crack but nothing that can't be fixed after that I am sure it will last me many adventures to come. 5 stars for sure

The tent was very sturdy in high wind and was easy to set up and pack away. I am 186cm tall and found it just big enough. If I allowed myself to shift it was not comfortable. It was warm in 4°c temps with a -5sl sleeping bag.

I tried this out for the first time recently! It's a good little tent. I'm 165cm and there was plenty of room for me to get comfortable and have some small belongings in the tent with me. Plenty of room under the fly for my backpack. I could comfortably sit and get changed, and I also found it easy to get in/out. I will say it smelt a bit funky when I first got it out of the packaging, so air it out before you sleep in it. I also wasn't familiar with single pole tents and the included instructions were really helpful. Super easy to set up once you know how.

Great little tent, easy to pitch and take down. First use was a 4 night hike, it is a bit of a squeeze inside but I found it OK and just managed to fit my pack undercover for the one wet night. But considering the price - great value for money
I bought this tent in July. I did the Great Ocean Walk over 3 nights and was really happy with it. I've just used it on the Grampians Peaks trail and it's a pain to put up on the wooden platforms. There was a group of us, and my tent took the longest to put up ( I used ropes and rocks and tied it to wire) I was fortunate the weather was good as it didn't feel very sturdy without pegs. My advice is to consider whether you will be camping on platforms! If not, it's a great little tent. If you are, maybe rethink it.
Although at the budget end of the market, this tent is pretty well made and there are lots of cool little features like the indestructible tent pegs and the metal sleeve for emergency repairs on the poles.I found I could fit quite a lot of my gear inside the sleeping area and the rest undercover in the vestibule area. Only slight issue was condensation overnight, but probably no worse than any other tent this size. Overall seems like a good investment that I expect to last a few years.
Used my tent for the first time and was very pleased with the ease of putting it up and packing away. I experienced windy nights, rain and a thunderstorm and had no problems. I am a bit concerned with the comfort if I experience colder weather ( highly likely in Tasmania) because the inner is just mesh.
The Zempire Mono hiking tent has served me well for a few camps now. It is spacious enough for myself, and keeps me dry in wet and windy weather. To protect the floor, I carry a tarp with me and fold it so it fits. The only issue I have had with the tent is the clips which attach the fly to the tent (on the opposite ends of the tent). These fall off easily, and I lost one clip at Cathedral Reserve Campground. To rectify this, I am just tying an overhand knot from the fly (where the clip would be) to tent itself. In the photo, the Zempire Mono is the little tent towards the back.
I bought this tent to get the weight down in my pack. It is compact so fitted easily when packing. First night was steady rain, all night, but I stayed perfectly dry as did my pack under the fly. The interior size is good, fitting all of my 185cm with some space to spare, but its a tight fit to sit up. All in all, very happy with my purchase
Just spent 6 nights in this tent on the Great Ocean Walk in Victoria . I bought this as I wanted a small one person tent but didn't want to go down to a bivy. Also the price and weight. Have been super happy with this guy on this trip . We had a savage electrical storm with solid rain and this tent held up really well . Easy and quick to put up . Great little pegs . Getting in and out was ok with the side entry even for this 60 year old .Heaps of tie down points to secure it in winds . Fitted inside my bag with all my stuff and 7 days food etc. No repairs needed after 7 days of use. good work Snowys.
