Hate the design of drip tray, and the fact you need to open it if you want thelid to be half open for wind protection for plate. Very poorly thought out design. So difficult to screw open, can't get any purchase on it to open it due to fairly smooth surface, combined with bbq grease equals near impossible if it is tightly closed-which happens even if when you deliberately close it lightly. Can't easily clean inside bbq. Not worth the cost in my opinion, cheaper options out there, more practical.

I absolutely love my Ziggy portable. I have used it for many things including taking to work on the back of my Ute and using it as a portable oven for cooking pies, wedges, oven fry chips to using it camping along with using it at home. I have cooked roast pork, whole chickens as well as a conventional barbecue.It's amazing how it maintains such a high temperature and never struggles to cook meats that need high temperature to sear etc.I love the convenience of being able to take the plate out and put it in the dishwasher to keep it clean.Barbecues galore are really great to deal with and I will gladly go back there and buy another ziggy.
This bbq is ok not fantastic. It does light well (first time, usually) and it does get hot! Too hot, and this is the problem. If you want to use the bbg with the lid down it gets too hot. The temperature gauge goes into the red zone very quickly even when on the lowest setting, forcing you to turn the bbq off to let it cool down. A cook ends up heating and cooling the oven all through the cooking process. When reading the instructions it does warn against this overheating. I assumed that because it had a thermometer it was able to stay within a specific heat range, but this is not the case.On the positive side, with the lid up it seems to work as you would expect.
I bought it to use in my camper trailer. It cooks like a dream… even with the lid up!We cooked marinated steak and it made a real mess … but the Ziggy was so easy to clean!
Solider than Dometic which broke leg tags. Cooks well with gridle plate we use and folds down to fit in caravan tunnel storage.
Love it! these are the best ever BBQs. I had the three burner previously and it was fantastic also which is why not that circumstances have changed I purchased this one.It fits neatly in a small space, everything about it is simple and it cooks like a genious!. Highly recommend. I also bought the stand and cover, these are a must also, it just makes everything so simple. Thanks Ziggy
The little Ziggy is honestly great. I agonised over whether we should get the Ziggy or the Weber baby Q and I'm really glad we went with the Ziggy.Its cook surface is bigger, it gets hotter so you can cook with the lid open. Plus it's a very handsome little BBQ!Only downside is the Ziggy design are using the newest safety grade for gas bottles. This meant we couldn't use a swap and go gas bottle from the servo. But the team at BBQ galores sell the correct one, and can also fill it with gas for you. So not really a big deal. Its probably a good thing to have a higher safety rating for the gas bottle anyway!
After doing a lot of research, I chose the Ziggy over the baby Q, mainly because it has better temperature control. Great BBQ.
