I have upper dentures and I purchased a Dental Pod on Amazon but at first I wasnt very impressed so I returned it. After giving more thought, I decided to give it another try and ordered the duo combo directly from Zima Dental. The pod arrived pretty quickly and was packaged securely. I ordered the jet black, but I wouldn't really call it jet black, it's a little lighter closer to a charcoal/navy. The exterior is plastic and shows fingerprints easily, but aesthetically it's pretty good.I've only cleaned my aligners twice so far, but it did seem to get some of the build up off. I'm hoping that in a few weeks it will be totally clean. I love this little appliance!!!! I had stopped wearing my retainer so often because of the cleaning of it. I never knew I wasn't supposed to use a toothbrush on it because that created more crevices for bacteria to form. Before using the Zima Dental Pod my retainer was yellowed and even after using specific cleaning agents, it still was discolored and especially yellow near the part that covered my back teeth. After just ONE USE with the Zima Dental Pod, my retainer was like I had just gotten it from my orthodontist! I couldn't believe how clear and clean it looked. It also smelled fresh and not overpowered by a pungent mint smell, but just fresh and clean. I now wear my retainer every night and am happy to say, I don't have a problem with cleaning it.
