Decent little stud-finder that "triggers" on the center of a stud. It feels cheap, and is larger than I expected. It works fairly well as long as your materials are drywall and wood; I was disappointed when it completely failed to locate studs through a sheet of 1/2" OSB, even with DeepScan (briefly press and release the Power button, then hold it down--it should go into DeepScan mode). I like the backlit LCD, the "stud location" bars across the top of the screen, and the nice red projected arrow on the wall when you reach center. Not too sure it'll work with studs wider than 1.5", though. The "electric" indicator seems to be more of a "metal detector" than actual detection of electricity. Functional? Works great , use a fresh 9V battery! Comes in handy for when you have to drill holes in the wall. Going to be great for when I need it to hang my TV from the wall too. Very easy to use. Double press for a deep scan. I got mine open box and it works like new.

Half the time it doesn't find the stud. When it does, it's finicky about it.Even the Live Wire Warning doesn't trigger every time it's over one.There's nothing good I can say about this Finder. For 30+ dollars it should be a lot better.I'm returning it as soon as possible.

This is the worst piece of junk stud finder I ever used. The inaccuracy of this thing caused me to punch holes in my wall where there were no studs and now I have extra holes in my walls I need to patch up. Right in the trash this tool belongs

I had this for a month now. It helps to learn how use a stud finder better. I did at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTnlU-4cP0wIt tells you the tricks and mistakes. Most important is to calibrate before use, The Zircon calibrates automatic and you only have to wait about 5 seconds. This is the third stud finder and by far the best I have owned. Well worth the extra cost.
The sensor is not able to detect studs, scanning the same place a second time gives a different result. My old and cheaper finder works much better. I would tp recommend this finder to nobody.
If you read and follow the directions included, this stud finder will do what it is supposed to do. It will show you the direction of the stud, and the edge of it and the center of it. It may take a little practice to get use to it. Don't store the battery in the unit when not in use. If the charge on the battery is not strong, replace it. Battery strength is one key element to it working properly. For the price you can't beat it.
Super easy to use and gives center of stud point for easy marking. Prior to this id try the famous knock test and I would always end up missing the stud and have a couple of holes that id need to patch after actually findng the stud. Makes the job so much easier and eliminates the extra time and money for spackle and texture to cover the missed stud holes.
It is perfect. it finds studs and warns about electric cables. it is always better to check 3 or 4 times just to be 100% sure , before you drill.the stud finder works by finding 'difference is depth'. So if you start on a stud, it will not be able to find the next stud. So if ur unable to locate a stud, stop the machine start it from another location, and try again
