I love the size. Perfect for 2-3 people. The rice is still fresh in there even after 3 days. I’m reading some of the other reviews and it doesn’t make sense. I recommend reading the user manual lots of information and setting features you can change in your own, like turning off the sounds. Some of the reviews I’m reading, sounds like user error. It does take about 60 mins for rice to cook which is about 30 more minutes than I’m use too. My previous brand rice cooker was “ tiger” unfortunately it wasn’t keeping my rice fresh anymore after a day, reason for the new purchase. I am very happy with this one! Of course I got it on sale!

I was gifted a top of the line a rice cooker as a marriage present, but after 20 long years it finally met its end. Lasted many years longer than that marriage! Since then, Ive learned a valuable lesson not to jump head first into any decision in life ;-)! I did my research and finally decided this was the brand ... then it was deciding what model and this one works for our needs. I have used a handful of times and have not been disappointed. Easy instructions and rice has come out perfect each & every time. I love the retractable cord and the design makes it much easier to store. The 3 cup size works perfect for my family of 4. It helps us with portion control & we even sometimes have leftovers. Never had brown rice that was so fluffy! Albeit a 90 min cook time. I like that it is the perfect size for 1-2 people. The quick cycle worked perfectly fine with jasmine rice which was about a half hour. When using the normal setting it was double the time but turned out fluffier. Inner cooking pot is heavy and great quality. Rice cooker Looks nice on the counter and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Hopefully the digital clock doesn’t stop working, not sure if you can change a battery for it? The cook time countdown is helpful. The retractable cord is a nice touch. Worth the price, I got it on sale.

I’ve been considering purchasing a rice cooker for a long time, putting off getting another kitchen appliance. I was using my Insta Pot and the results weren’t what I was hoping for. I live alone and only need small appliances, so when I saw this 3-cup version with the steel cut oats option, I was intrigued and thought about it some more. I took the plunge when it came on sale and am very happy that I did. Followed the instructions carefully and love the results. Pricing was better than Amazon as a bonus!
As the title states, I've only used this once so take that into consideration.The machine is perfect for small batches and the features are excellent. My one use was with the timer setting and it was great to set it and know that it would be done when I wanted it. The rice, long grain white, came out perfect.I also like how the cord retracts considering I don't keep it out all of the time (although it's so small, I could).It would get 5 stars if the measuring cup was actually 1 cup, meaning that you could just use any standard measuring cup to measure your rice. I don't like having to have another measuring cup specific for this device. When following the instructions, you need to know "x cups" is "x" of their cups.
I bought this because I wanted to eat brown rice and my old rice cooker didn't have a brown rice setting, let alone a GABA brown rice setting. I also like that it has a jasmine rice setting (which I eat a lot of) and a porridge setting which I can use to make rice porridge, though I have yet to try that function.This rice cooker does take longer to cook though; the standard brown rice setting takes about 1.5 hours to cook. The GABA setting soaks the rice in warm water in 2 hours before cooking, for a total of around 3.5 hours. It does have a timer though so I just set the timer in the morning and the rice is ready for me in the evening. The white rice setting takes longer than my old cooker as well. I was very hesitant in spending so much on a rice cooker but after much research I decided to go ahead and make the purchase. I left a review with the company stating that the only thing I would change in my purchase experience would be the price. After actually buying and using the rice cooker, I have to say that it is worth every penny! It is true that not only does more expensive rice taste better but using a quality cooker makes a world of difference as well. I used my old cooker and prepared the more expensive rice but it was NOT as well cooked or as tasty as using my new one.
Zojirushi is the top of the line as far as Rice Cookers go. I’ve have used other brands of Rice Cookers all my life and this is my first Zojirushi. I like that Zojirushi has multiple settings for the different kinds of rice. Each batch comes out perfect as long as you follow the recommended water/rice ratios. The timer setting is also a nice feature. You can have hot rice at any time. Also the overall size is very compact for storage compared to other brands.
