This food jar keeps my soup warm for a long time. The size is just right, and it is easy to clean. It is a very nice container when I want to have some hot soup at work.

It looks pretty and designed very well. The only problem is the diameter of only 6.5cm, volume is 0.5 liter, which is a little smaller for carrying a normal size of lunch. It should be good to be a soup jar.

This food jar is sleek, aesthetivally pleasing, and easy to clean. It keeps food piping hot to enjoy later in the day. This jar is perfect for taking food hiking or even tranporting food for work and/or travel. I love it!

This is not my first Zojirushi product and I have not been disappointed yet. The food stays hot with little to no preheating needed (filling the thermos with hot water before you put food in.) The wide mouth makes it very easy to eat directly out of the container. It also looks and feels nice. The only inconvenience is that some foods, like tomato sauce can stain the silicone parts in the top. I combat this by using a cupcake wrapper. Just slap one over the open mouth of the jar and then screw on the top. Helpful reminder: The top is actually two parts, to make it easier to open the container if a vacuum has formed, so when you wash it take the smaller top off to make sure that there is no condensation. I have had a Zojirushi coffee thermos for several years and continue to be amazed at its ability to keep my drink hot for long hours. So when I decided to get a food jar, I knew exactly which company that I would buy the product. There were multiple colors and a few sizes to choose, and the one that I landed on is perfect! Quality of build, appearance, ease of disassembly and cleaning and its thermal performance is impressive. Last week on a cold winter day, I had a delicious hot lunch thanks to Zojirushi.
Bought this for the gf after great reviews on reddit and ozbargain. Lives up to the hype. Highly reccomend. Perfectly leak proof, great lock mechanism and keeps coffee hot for about 4 hours, warm until the end of the day. Good size for fits a large coffee. Highly reccomend
Excellent little thermos! It's a little bit more difficult to clean than, say, a stainless steel water bottle, as there are a couple gaskets which are a bit fussy.However, if you don't mind spending 5 minutes hand-washing it after each use (and once you've figured out how the pieces fit together) it's really a pleasure to use. Keeps food, especially soups and other meals with a liquid base, hot for hours. Seriously, my soup was uncomfortably hot 3 hours after I put it in. Wow!It is a bit smaller than I expected, so I'd recommend sizing up if you can. The 17 oz one is a good capacity for a single, medium-sized lunch (of hearty soup or pasta).
I recently purchased two 12oz stainless steel food jars to complement my larger model…As usual, they work great… I put my lunch in at 6AM and at 12PM the temperature is still 115-120 degrees F… it works awesome for soups and pasta..Thanks Zojiruchi!!!!
