Have not had the best weather here in Brisbane, but have managed a couple of nights using the AM5 with the pier extension and carbonfibre tripod .It has handled everything easily so far getting great consistency guiding even with my C8 sct with no counterweight I have just been using the bottom sling to hold a 11lb counterweight and hold my power pack to add some extra stability to the tripod .Everything was a breeze to set up and get imaging .Being so light makes the AM5 great, so easy to move in and out of the house fully loaded with scope and imaging train all in 1 . Makes for an easy quick setup for an imaging session. Really happy with this purchase.

am5 app is ok but missing some areas that asiair app has.there is no LOGOFF or shutdown button on the am5 app.you can not adjust the star magnitude level on either app.the HOME position is not correct and i tried to place it counterwieght down.. but it did not save it, just gave an error. and itwent back to the bad position. The sun is not listed on objects.you can click and then goto>. seems smooth but have not tested 30 lbs on it with counter weight.
