We added the Intex 28005E Cleaner (June21, 2021-$185) and it works well with the Bestway pump (we had to purchase an adapter for an additional $25.00). The Cleaner is a very interesting design which picks up leaves well and some small sediment from the bottom while at the same time stirring up the fine sediment for the pool pump to filter out. After cleaning for about 2 hours, the bottom looks about 95% clean. It struggles to clean around wrinkles, seams and "stuck on dirt". It's very cool how it cleans the sides. Shortly after the Cleaner is removed, you will see the fine sediment settle back at the bottom. Be careful to remove the Cleaner and Entire Hose from the pool when cleaning out the bottom capture bin or sediment will go back in the pool. Overall we are happy with this cleaner. (I see Amazon is now selling it a month later for $65 less than i paid. What's up Amazon!!!)RATINGS: The suction power is based solely on the pump. It works very well with our 2500 GPH. I paid $185 because I needed something and it looked like the best choice available at the time. But for what it is, I think $185 is a bit high, especially since Amazon is selling it now for $120.00. It is very easy to clean. SIDENOTE: The pool we had before was a 16' Intex with inflatable ring. It came with a much better 1500 GPH pump and filter/skimmer design than the Summerwave 1500 pump/filter/skimmer.

I read reviews upon reviews for so many vaccumes smh. I watched a youtube video for this one and the ease of use is what made me purchase it. I am a first time pool owner this summer (my God it's expensive!) I wanted a no hassle vaccum. This appeared to be easy to set up, which it was, and then it does all the work. Which it does not lol. It was simple enough to put together very "plug n play" but I had to babysit it. I was literally out there every 15 minutes to check on it because it would stop. It would be sitting in the bottom of my pool running but going nowhere. It couldn't seem to get traction and it stopped constantly or it's wheels would be running and it would be going nowhere. I have no trees in my yard so I thought the "few" that were in there would get swept up. Nope. (sigh) I want to like it because the hose doesn't get tangled, it's pleasant to look at (lol), and very easy to use. However, I had to fork out $250.00 additional dollars for a handheld Volt XL8 to finish the job and that's WAAAAY more money than I wanted to spend on a vaccum(s). This one, the Intex vaccum cost me 120.00 w/taxes here on Amazon and said it was 80% off! No way I would of paid 200.00 for this thing! I am pretty sure this is going back, I may exchange it for the same one as it gave me the option to have another one shipped to me if I returned this one. I want to use it one more time and see if I have the same problems before I opt for another one. If I'm gonna have the same issues - I'll get my money back, as the Volt XL8 works very well.

We refused to pay double this for an "automatic" pool vac (dolphin, etc.). We hard piped it in with a 3 way valve into our piping for out Coleman 18' X 48" pool so we can just drop it in in the morning and shift the flow over to it. Our whole pool is squeaky clean within a couple hours and that's with all the gunk from the tree that hangs over the pool piled up in the center from the pump overnight (and it's ALOT every morning). It picks up the fine "silt" soo. I zip tied a skimmer sock to the outlet to see if anything was escaping past the filter screen, and little to noting was trapped in the sock. The storage area is large too which was a grip with other vacs. I empty each time i pull it out for the day and that's it, never have to empty it mid cycle. My only "gripe", and this isn't the vac's fault, is that our tree has these little berry looking things with a skinny stem them that are all over in our pool, and sometimes the stems get caught in the hinge of the "trap door" on the bottom and keeps it open, so when we turn it off to remove it some of the stuff it collects falls out if i don't' flip it over on it's back first. That's not really a fault of the vac, they can't build it for every situation. In the end it's well worth the money to save an hour off my life each day that i would typically spend with a manual vacuum.

We have an above ground hardside pool with 1.5" fittings and thought this would be a good compromise without spending a several hundred dollars. First off these have a larger fitting so I had to make an adapter to complete the connection to the return jet eyeball socket of our pool. Secondly, we also have a floor skimmer (drain like on the bottom of an in-ground pool) and this sweeper gets caught on it every pass it makes. Thirdly, the unit is made to climb the walls of a pool, such as the Intex Coleman brands) that have the larger radius where the floor and walls meet. Lastly, the couple of times it did manage to transition climb the wall-the unit would get slightly above the waterline (which is normal) but it would develop an air pocket in the housing causing it to become buoyant so that it couldn't creep back down the wall. I would push the unit back under water so the air pocket would disperse and then it would continue creeping back down the wall.

After having the new Intex ZX 300 vacuum for the week I gotta say I am finally satisfied. I tried a bunch of different vacuums and robots and this little bugger is great. He does a really good job and picks up fine dirt and won't break the bank. I named him Frank!My pool is a coleman 22 x52 round and I use the Intex 12" 2100 gph filter along with the intex skimmer basket. The filter has more than enough power to make Frank shake his money maker. I live in Canada so it cost me more and a bit of shipping but it's still the best bang for your buck imo. I've tried a few robots, pool blaster, etc but the battery life of them all just don't cut it. If you have a lot of large debris in your pool be sure to remove the two brushes that clip into the debris port on the bottom as they could get stuck on them. If not leave them installed. Picks up fine dirt, etc.

IT WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO, WILL STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE POOL, I'VE READ REVIEWS THAT IF IT STOPS IT FULL, THAT'S NOT THE CASE WITH MINE. I'VE CLEANED IT OUT AND PUT IT RIGHT BACK IN...IT MOVES FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN STOPS AGAIN, DOES CLIMB THE WALLS WHICH IS COOL, BUT IT DOESN'T PICK UP LIKE I THOUGH IT WOULD. THE SPINNING BRISTLES DO NOT LAST LONG, FROM ALL THE SPINNING THEY DON'T SEEM TO TOUCH THE BOTTOM ANYMORE. I TRIED TURNING THEM AROUND WHICH SEEMED TO WORK FOR A BIT, BUT THEN STOPPED PICKING THINGS (bugs and leaves) AGAIN. I ALSO HAD TO PURCHASE EXTRA PARTS TO EVEN FIT MY POOL. I HAVE A 1.5 HP PUMP THAT REGULATES 3,000GPH, SO ITS NOT A PUMP ISSUE. I WISH I COULD RETURN IT, BUT CAN'T. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GET ONE THAT DOES THE JOB ITS SUPPOSED TO!

So many people think this doesn’t work because they don’t read! It connects to the return and that water pressure propels it and powers it to allow it to create its own suction at rate of 700gph. Doesn’t mean it can be used with 700 gph pump! It has rotating brushes front and back and a debris chamber on underside with super fine mesh to keep debris in place along with little finger sweepers to aid in moving debris into the chamber and does climb the walls. It kind of makes its own routine. So many people don’t understand instructions so they think it doesn’t work and return it but hey it’s allowed me to purchase several from spreetail on eBay as ‘for parts’ at under $30.00 each and every single one arrives just fine like new and works great. Simply remove facing of return where clean water enters the pool and screw included adapter to that then screw hose to adapter and other end of hose screws onto vac how hard is that? If you have a weak pump it won’t work because it won’t have enough water pressure. Connecting to suction port is never advised or mentioned! Don’t do that! Isn’t how it works. Only complaint is the flapper that opens to allow debris to enter then closes to prevent debris escape is not the best I usually remove the spring and add tension to it then reinstall it. I don’t know how it makes a cleaning routine it has no computer but each one has learned my pool and then had a routine to cover all of it. It helps to plug one of the suction ports to make pump stronger. Be sure the filter in your pump is clean for maximum water pressure. I use 2500gph intex pump and it powers this amazingly. When you get it out of the water first stick your finger at the flapper underneath to be sure a leaf isn’t forcing it open otherwise it may spill out debris into the pool while removing it from the water. The long hose is to be trimmed as per directions and I’ve not had it tangle as there are rotating cuffs.I can leave it n my 15’ round above ground pool for a week if I choose to. You don’t have to babysit it. Now if you have pump flow rate under 1800gph it may not work. It can with 1500gph pump but not as well. It will connect to any bestway, intex, coleman pool or one that has the intake and output ports from those pools. It will attach to small pool return or large pool fitting return. Everything you need comes with it and you can modify other pools by using hardware store parts like flexible rubber fitting with clamp to attach the adapter to return. Can’t attach to a skimmer because again that is a suction port. It doesn’t work with pool pumps suction. It creates its own with water pressure.
