Another day, another genius solution from Beauty of Joseon. There are not many brands that pick retinaldehyde for anti-aging properties, there are even less South Korean brands among them. What are the odds of having a South Korean brand producing a cream with retinal and ginseng? Very low, I have to say. I certainly didn't expect to have it both in a tube and at such a low price. So there was no better way to gain me as a lifelong customer than combine these two in a tube.I don't really fancy eye creams but it's nice to have a retinal cream specifically composed to use around your eyes because retinal is not really gentle on that area. The best thing about this cream is that you can use it on your entire face and neck because it's gentle enough not to irritate but still contains retinal as an anti-aging property. The texture is buttery like most retinal creams, so I advice not to use much and tap it into the skin otherwise it will create an oily film and end up staining your pillowcase. The texture reminds me of the "Dear, Klairs" Fundamental Nourishing Eye Butter which is another eye cream I approve of.

I really liked the ingredients in here, they all make sense and surely enough should help to brighten the delicate under-eye area overtime. I was able to use this without having to slowly incorporate it and as with all retinol/retinal products, it's best used at night time only. Even though my eye-area is usually very senstive, I had no burning stinging, etc. Even when it got in my eyes once or twice, it almost felt like nothing. Sadly, I was only able to use this for about 1 1/2 to 2 months before I had started taking a medication that did not allow me to keep using retinoids. Maybe when I'm done taking it I will come back to this, but I have to say I wish the formula was a bit more occlusive. This is one of the only products from this brand that doesn’t have pore clogging ingredients in it so it’s safe for acne prone skin! I use this all over my face every night after doing the rest of my skin care routine and it has been doing wonders! Retinal is proven to kill bacteria that causes acne and if by chance I do have a breakout this product dries it out overnight! my skin hasn’t looked this clear in a long time so I will definitely continue using this unless I find something even better. From experience it is best to stop using active ingredients when treating acne and keep your routine as simple as possible otherwise you’ll ruin your skin barrier and cause more acne breakouts!
