I bought this so I can have a smart electric blanket. After price checking, got this and I have a electric blanket from Briscoes. I can have a smart blanket that heats up on schedule or on remote. This thing is amazing, it has schedules and timer. Now on cold nights, I can set it on for 30 minutes and it goes off after that. Imagine other stuff you can do with this!!!!

Have had about 10 of these in my house for the last 3-4 months. Don't expect them to integrate with Apple (Siri?) or Home Assistant - they're for Google Assistant and Alexa only.Everything that is advertised that these plugs do, they do very well and reliably, with easy to use and highly informative software - although the software dosen't do automations. Use Google Home for that.Great for being able to tell what is the most cost effective heating solution. Ask your sparky to put wall socket plugs on your hot water cylinders / aircon and you can monitor those as well.Great example of a well made product that does what it says on the tin.

Very simple to set up and use. I have used Kasa brand previously and they now work in the Tapo application. I purchased these to monitor energy usage on a couple of appliance. Works as designed. Also works with Home Assistant (with some minor fernangling) so I can record energy usage and control the plug from inside that software.

If you only want to turn a switch on and off remotely on a schedule, find out how much power it used, and you're happy to use the Tapo app on your phone that *only* works with Tapo devices, great. If you want it to integrate with Apple HomeKit, if you want to be able to ask Siri to turn this on for five minutes, if you want to use Home Assistant to control this: nah mate, you've got a long hard road to integrate it. Home Assistant swears it supports Tapo, but the P110 does not yet support Matter protocol and from the model number it looks like it never will: you're looking for the P110M which I don't believe exists? In summary, this is a great bit of kit but it's all alone by itself on a very lonely island whereas the rest of my "smart" stuff is nicely integrated and works in with Home Assistant.
So far this has been an excellent smart plug and very easy to set up and use. I like that it also has energy monitoring within the app which is pretty cool. If you put in the price per kWh in the app, it will tell you how much the appliance is costing you to run. Considering the rising price of electricity, it's not a bad idea.I had previously purchased another brand but I could not get it to work, so I returned it and bought two of these instead. A much better experience.
I have installed TAPO switches before and this one was easy to install too. The app needs you to tap on your chosen Tapo P110 switch on the app home page, then swipe up from the bottom of the app so that you can see the energy usage data the P110 has collected. I didn't know that and had to search for that info online. But is works a treat. I have 3 x P100 models too. The switches feel solid and durable and are the right size for a couple of different power boards that I have as they fit side by side without touching each other. My P110 is in a steel shed about 12 metres from the WiFi modem and works fine.
Excellent little devices, great energy monitoring interface with a 5 second refresh rate. Small and can put them on most plug points without blocking the plug next to it. Liked them so much I bought 4. Easy setup. They have been working without a hitch, connect to the app with no dramas. Highly recommend them.
A nicely made and compact smart plug with plenty of energy monitoring features in the app. WiFi works well. Automations with Tapo thermometers work well to switch plugs on at a certain temperature. Schedules allow devices to be switched on and off automatically at your required times.
Bought just the one to test it out and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set up: download the app, register at tp-link, search for the device on your home network and connect and you're away. I have this set up to turn on a really hard to reach switch but I'm now searching for other situations around the home where I can put more switches to use. I'll definitely buy more. Are these life-changing? No. Are they simple, flexible and convenient to use? Most definitely yes.
Works well, compact design means I can fit 2 in a double power point. The power monitoring feature whilst good in theory is hidden by default, gives limited information and as is really a waste of money when you are just using it for a 15w bulb. Save some money and buy the cheaper version for simple smart lighting control. Otherwise I’m really happy with them!
