Only purchased a few days ago but have been busy testing.I travel on my own so am making meals for one from scratch.have made rice cooked with meat and veg in oven as is...chilli con carne. single serve in a ramekinself saucing cup of cake in a cupomlette in a mugrice pudding in oven bareI have used a storage battery pack for the testing before i try it driving.can not really find a problem yet.It is an odd size for looking for dishes to use inside it. have ordered mini pie dishes $4 at farmersand will use baking paper for dry bakingCan see that as a lazy cook it will suit me perfectly.

Because I'm on the road in my Truck & Trailer driving Line Haul & overnighting 5 nights a week, it is so handy to be able to rely on this 12V Portable Stove & Warmer to heat up precooked meals like this little beauty certainly does. Thanks Marine Deals, Cheers, Tui

12v portable stove oven

I constantly work away and in remote locations in the pilbara for days on end. Thought i would give this a try as it was only $50 delivered. I was amazed at the build quality for its price. Strong hard case with a massive seal. The oven was hot within 5m and just got hotter and hotter. I cooked meat pies from frozen in about 1 hr and came out crispy. I stash heaps of frozen meals in my engel and when feel hungry place it in the oven ad 30 to 40 m later nicely re-heated. Great for when driving on those long drives. Downside is no temperature control this thing gets fn hot. I left a chicken parmi in it a little to long and had to wait 10m for it to cool down. Parmy still edible haha. Absolutely great product for price. Interesting to see how long it will last.

Does the job well best to have a heavy duty cigarette lighter specially wired into the vehicle

Seldom does one find a new product that one can sense looking at it is very popular amongst long-distance drivers. It heats up quickly which is what it claims to do. It is best to have a heavy duty cigarette lighter however specially wired with a relay to the battery because it can burn out the standard cigarette lighter which is what happened to my car. Once I had the heavy duty system fitted of 2 extra lighters very good!

Ideal little Oven.

It was purchased to be used in a long distance truck. It works extremely well and reheats meals quickly and cooks pies. It doesn't take up a lot of space. Great value for money and is of a sturdy construction.

Much Better Than I Expected

I have to say, I didn't expect much from this oven, looking at it does fill you with confidence as this is clearly a Chinese made product. However, The oven is sturdy and can withstand knocks and bangs, it has a good seal between compartments and a positive locking lever so it doesn't leak. I was travelling for a day trip to the High Country and after filling up with fuel in Traralgon, I filled the oven with frozen party pies and sausage rolls. About 1 hr 15 mins later we pulled over near Mt Skene to have lunch and I made coffee and grabbed the oven. The outside was warm and I could pick it up, the plastic outer hadn't heated up much at all and this made me think that the food wouldn't be ready. There were a couple of improvements that could be made, the first is that I was pleasantly surprised to find a collapsible neoprene food container inside that came with the oven. However, there is no mention in the instructions about it and whether it is suitable to be used in the oven when hot. Also, the oven might benefit from a temperature controller so you can turn down the heat when the food is cookedto keep it warm. To sum up, I was really surprised by this ovens performance and wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending it at all. Perfect when travelling to a camp ground or on a day trip especially in winter where you need some hot food and don't have time to cook it.

Not just a pie warmer

Although excellent at heating pastries, you can do so much more. This sits strong at 130c. Meaning its perfect for pulled pork, slow cooked beef and even poultry. Fancy having pulled pork wraps on the jobsite or beachside. 1-1.2kg meats take around 5 hours at 5amp draw per hour. Use an oven bag. Good for long trips or if you've got dual batts and a solar setup. Dig in!

Portable Oven

Works a treat, I bought a second one however the one of the plugs broke and I had to replace it. The plug broke because it was made of average quality plastic and not through maluse. Luckily I had a spare good quality plug and the skills to replace it. Overall happy with the performance.

Totally recommend this to everyone. Light weight and totally user friendly.

This is a fabulous little oven. I brought one for my son in law as we already love ours. We cook a chook in ours when we travel and when we arrive the chicken is cooked mind you its hard being in the car with all the delicious aromas.

Unit works very well. Heats food quickly. Great for heating pastry products like sausage rolls for an on the roadside quick lunch.
