Brilliant piece of kit.. I do have the old 10.8v impact so it was time for a change. Great power lightweight excellent all round..
I purchased this little driver for the purpose of more delicate work. My existing Mikita is great, very powerful and drives screws deep into any wood if required. However, when it came to more delicate work, it was too much of a brute! I had a lot of plaster boarding to do and this little driver is perfect. It has 3 power setting so no risk of driving screws too far into soft material, giving you much more control. It's very light and small, so easy to drive in screws in awkward places. Quality feels good, but too early to say re longevity, but if it is anything like my de-walt drill, I expect a long life. It came with charger and two batteries, and not too expensive.
Decided to purchase the DeWalt Impact Driver as it performed well against other makes on a YouTube test video and reviews generally favourable. I chose this set as I don't have any other DeWalt products and it comes with everything needed to get going - impact driver (of course), 2 batteries, charger and carry/storage case for keeping it all together. Used this as I was putting down some loft boards at my sisters and didn't want to use the corded drill with a long extension lead - was worried that batteries wouldn't last long enough to do the job so charged up both batteries but 1 battery had enough charge to do the job and the screws went in very easily. Very easy to insert and remove screw bits. Only had it a couple days but initial impressions are positive.
Found this tool really helpful and up to the job wouldn't be without it .
