If you are an apple guy/gal, then you know what I am talking about. This apple product is a stable. Just upgraded from the iPad Pro 9.7" (which I think is just as thin?) meant that this is the first time it has been 'worth' upgrading.I really enjoy the speed of this thing, plus the pencil pro for note taking in conferences, classes etc. means no more books or bags - yes, really! Do I need to say that all in all this thing is Pricey! iPad + Case + Pencil...then iCloud... but I think it will last so it is an investment (marketing spiel I know - but it is true). The Pros:- Fast response time when 'clicking', and browsing, and charging.... getting things done quickly is important to me.- Beautiful OLED screen is such a joy- Taping the screen wakes it up and face ... Anyway.- USB C - cool to have and I can't wait for apple to move everything over to usb c.- Pencil pro compatible.- Really enjoy the speakers, much improved since my last iPad.The Cons:- The screen bezel is thick and black for the silver ipad (it used to be white for the silver alu) and it make it feel 'slightly' leass professional/mature but I am used to it now.- The face ID camera is on the right when in portrait. Think this is because of ALL the youtubers complaining that the iPad air got it moved to the side for landscape Zoom meetings etc, but the pro was still at the top. Makes sense at the top for me - I don't unlock it in landscape mode. I have a laptop for that. Maybe two face ID scanners ? anyway.- No sim slot - this iPad moved to eSim which is challenging (Vodacom require you to go in store to get it set up....and this and that and the next step. Schlep!).- iCloud storage prices increased for South Africa, so going to bigger GB's (internal storage on iPad) means more cash.To conclude, of course I am an apple guy so this purchase was worth it - and I really enjoy using this masterpiece of engineering. If the pencil pro is not important for you and you need a physical sim slot, the I think an M2 on special is the way to go. Otherwise this thing is amazing and Apple AI is on its way... so get the latest!

I’m very happy with this iPad Pro. I traded in my M1 12.9 iPad Pro at BestBuy, which gave me a better trade-in than Apple. Love the new bright OLED screen, the power efficiency of the M4 allowed apple to make it thinner, however I would have preferred the same thickness with increased battery life, but the battery life IS great. I use it for drawing, illustrating and content consumption. Happy that the FaceTime camera was moved to the horizontal side.

I recently got the iPad Pro 13 inch from Best Buy, and it’s fantastic. The display is super sharp, and the performance is incredibly fast thanks to the M4 chip. It handles everything I throw at it, from streaming to multitasking, without any lag. The Apple Pencil works flawlessly for drawing and notes, and the size feels just right for productivity. Battery life is great, and the buying experience at Best Buy was smooth. Highly recommend!

I went out this morning in the rain to my local Best Buy when they opened at 10am. I traded in my still great iPad 12.9 pro 3rd generation toward the purchase of the new 2024 iPad Pro 13 inch with 256GB. I rushed home to set up my new iPad all excited to see it this lived up to all the hype. Yes, it is slightly thinner but not by much and most people wouldn’t notice the difference between the two. It is slightly faster with the M4 chip, and not by much, but I will say the screen is slightly brighter. My point is don’t believe all the hype, if you have a iPad like mine or similar, take my advice and stick with what you have because there is really no bid difference.
Upgraded from a M2 12" pro, the thinness is noticeable and definitely makes the device much more comfortable to hold and use, especially for my use-case as an artist. The screen is beautiful, but honestly, the mini-LED on the previous generation was so good the difference is only noticeable when you have the two devices side by side. Moving the camera to the horizontal position is a major QOL upgrade as well. The features of the new pencil do make a big difference, and as an all-around package make this iPad worth buying over the previous gens.
This is probably the best tablet money can buy, but it is ultimately held back by frustrating software. The writing experience is phenomenal on a large screen like this. The screen quality is a massive leap even compared to the mini-LED displays on older iPads. But the biggest difference I notice on a day-to-day basis is how much lighter and thinner this version is compared to the other 12.9 inch ipads. For the first time, you can actually use the larger ipad comfortably as a tablet! I no longer have hand fatigue after using this. That alone is a massive improvement for me personally and changes the way I use my iPad on a daily basis. With all that being said, I think for 99% of people this is overkill. There are much more affordable iPads that do 90% of what this ... MoreThis is probably the best tablet money can buy, but it is ultimately held back by frustrating software. There are much more affordable iPads that do 90% of what this version can do. You’re getting almost the exact same experience as other iPads that cost less than half. On top of that, iPadOS is notoriously buggy and inconsistant, to the point where MacOS is a much easier OS to use in a lot of workflow situations. I can only recommend this to people who want the best iPad money can buy, who want the best display on any device, or someone who plans on keeping their ipad for more than 6 years. There’s a lot to love about this new iPad, but there are also a lot of limitations, and a lot of more affordable options that offer almost the exact same experience
Went out in the rain on release day 5/15/24 to purchase the Apple 13 inch Pro with 256GB. I actually traded in my still great iPad Pro 12.9 inch 3rd generation towards the purchase. I rushed home to set up my new iPad. Yes it is somewhat thinner, this iPad is 5.1mm thick compared to my 3rd generation iPad at 5.9mm thicker , not much of difference and most people would not tell the difference. It is a little faster with the M4 chip but it’s not earth shattering either, trust me. It is noticeably brighter though. And where are the way thinner bezels that were circulating on the internet?. I almost regret selling my old iPad now. My point is don’t believe all the hype and keep your current iPad weather it’s a 3rd 4th 5th gen or later because when the ‘new toy’ feeling ... Overall is a great machine, and I love it as an upgrade from my 2022 iPad Air 11’’. it’s superfast, and the display is amazing. The size is fantastic when you’re working but a little bit too big to comfortably tote around with you. I feel a little silly, taking it out in public since it’s gargantuan, but I do have my mini for that. I may downgrade this to an 11 inch, but only, since I have the mini as well. Overall I would say prices in a concern go for the 13 inch. But for the same price, you could get the 11 inch beefed up with storage. Apple has made some amazing machines lately.
Excellent product and Great Open Box Price. I know all the talk about the M4 not being worth the money, but to me at the cost for this one and the ability to future proof from many years to come make the purchase a value. Apple has plans for their AI. We may not see it now but I am sure it will be coming! The new OLED screen is FANTASTIC!!! Function is as expected maybe a little faster - but to me the OLED and future proofing is worth the money.
So I previously had an iPad Pro 4th generation. I had intended for it to be a replacement for my laptop. It was limited; weight, battery life, performance, etc. When this model was released— I was excited. And then it went on sale! All my expectations and experiences have been met and exceeded. I finally have my portable computing needs met. :)And Best Buy made it easy to order and pickup in-store.
