The belt looks very well produced, high quality and sturdy. Provides great support when bracing. 10mm thickness was a good choice for someone at the beginning of their powerlifting journey, but who aims for IPF approved gear. It doesn't need a lot of time to break in and fits quite well from the start.
I have a tiny torso and really struggle to use a 4” belt but needed to get an IPF-approved belt. This 3” version is perfect. Easy to assemble, quick to get on and off, and it feels absolutely indestructible. So solid and secure during big lifts. Very happy!
Don’t even bother with any other belt. This thing is just awesome…. I’ve never felt stronger on all my lifts while I use this, it’s constructed flawlessly from its stitching to the hugging grasp that feels snug and flexible while you have it strapped up. Why buy any other belt when you can have the best one. Money well invested I’d say
The Hellraiser belt is solid, it's heavy and thick, neat stitching, layers of full grain leather which have been tanned beautifully. The underside is soft, and with some breaking in will be quite comfortable. The fit is fairly tight, according to my measurements I should be using some of the first holes, but I have loosened it to some of the last holes. I like to fill up a big, 360 degree breath and really expand my belly to push out into the belt. Perhaps the sizing is for less inflated abdominal blocks? In any case, the belt sizing will give me some incentive to not bulk too much.I combined this belt with the Onyx black lever from Irontanks, which is also great, smooth operation and solid construction. Forget about the breaking-in period, coming back with a bruised rib after a heavy squat day. With this belt, you'll be out to perform on the day itself.The third thing is the lever. It sounds amazing when snapped. It's polished without any sharp edges, unlike other levers. It moves smooth upon locking and unlocking.All in all, this was the best purchase I've made for my gym career thus far. I am confident it will last me through my gym days. Being only 5'5", the 3" belt sits perfectly under my rib cage and not interfering with my lifts. The belt paired with the PAL lever buckle has already helped me hit more PR's in a month than my previous belt. I highly recommend this belt if you have a shorter torso and looking for high quality product.
man, u can't get better than this belt. Almost zero wear-in time, no bruising, no sharp pain. Hole spacing is perfectly designed with a nice 'flap' that keeps loose or even tight settings comfortable. Currently playing with a looser setting then I used on my buckle belts, and can confidently say with proper bracing the stability created within the belt is second to none. Go this belt paired with the brushed steel lever, although heavy, the security you will feel will see lifts skyrocket. Am planning on using this and all other iron tank equipment in the coming competition year.
