First time out with a weight vest and this one’s great. 20KG is too much for me to start out with which is why the adjustable weight element to this vest is such a brilliant feature. The straps can rub a little when doing pull-ups but this is a minor issue. Sits well and doesn’t cause any discomfort when running. Highly recommend.

I purchased this vest in lockdown to help with training.I looked around the market to see the best quality option and decided this was the one. It's over double the price of others on the market, but it looked like it could take a beating. However this was not the case.After 7-8 months, one of the straps has shed all of it's velcro bristles and it doesn't attach anymore. It's odd, as it only effected one side, when both straps have had equal usage. I can't use the vest as it comes undone when you do exercise.I contacted Bulldog's support to see if there was a fault, and if they could replace the vest. The bulldog gear weighted vest is currently the best weighted you can buy from France. Because the others brands shipping cost are really expensive and are sometimes about 150€ so really it's more than the weighted vest itself! And if you need to add more weight to work your max strenght, just add a dip belt with kettlebell or other free weights. The weight vest is short, so you can wear the vest and a dip belt at the same time without problem.In my opinion, the only thing that can be improved on this weighted vest is adding a Removable Sweat Liner like the V-max weighted vest for example, so it would be easier to wash.Some people complain about the velcro on side to fastened up the weight vest but the velcro on the side is just for adjust the fit, once the fit is adjusted, you just have to fasten with the front velcros.If you don't like the front velcro method you can add another belt system without problem.I hope this will help.

This vest is a fantastic bit of kit! I now use it regularly for running, albeit not the full 20kg! 8kg on a 10k run for now! With the removable weights it makes it easier to start light and build the weight up. I’m 6 foot 2 inches tall nd it sits well on my chest with little movement when running and great for squats. It does restrict my breathing a little when running but you get use to it. I would 100% recommend this vest. Don’t settle for anything else. Great service, Quick delivery, Quality product. Makes for a brutal workout on the stepper machine.The weight is very well distributed which means that it sits comfortably and doesn’t pull you in either direction.Note: Based on my shoulder width, (I’m 5’8) I find that pull-ups with this have to be done with a wide grip (based on restriction created by the shoulder pads and my shoulder width), which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just something to be aware of if you have a smaller frame/ shoulder width.However, other than this it fits perfectly. I have been able to do box jumps, push-ups and run with 0 movement from the vest.Would definitely recommend for those looking to take their training up a level.Get it.

The product quality is excellent. The fit is tight and firm so it does not move when doing any of the exercises (not even pike push ups). The design protects well the shoulders so you do not hurt them when carrying the heaviest weight (20kg).Closed grip pull ups and some push up variations like archer push-ups are difficult to perform with the vest, but apart from those you can perform any exercise without mobility or range of motion limitation.Very happy with the product. Totally recommended!And on top of that delivery was also super fast!
The vest arrived 2 days after I ordered it so I was very happy with that.Having looked it over it's clearly a well-made bit of kit: 'sturdy' might be the word I'd use,and that's just what you want if you're strapping bits of iron to yourself! It can be made to fit easily,even on leaner-framed people like me (6ft,66kg...) and having run through half a dozen sets of chins/pulls and decline press-ups it remained in place,with minimal movement. Its easy to go online and find a weight vest for around £40 but I can assure you it wont stand up to what Bulldog Gear have created. £90 might seem a hefty price to pay for the average joe. But if your serious about your training and your looking to incorporate a weight vest in your workouts this is for you. The work gone into the vest clearly shows they've paid attention to whats needed. The vest is made to sit comfortably on the upper torso allowing free range of movement in the arms, waist and neck without any chaffing or any parts digging in. I found that when running in the vest at the start I noticed some 'tug' with each stride this is due to the weight and after a while once my stride had settled to a slower more manageable pace I couldn't notice any more pull/tug from the vest.I've managed to do pull ups, press ups, squats and runs so far in the vest and never had any issues with movement or hinderance of any kind. The fact that you can adjust the weight by removing individual 1kg blocks is a real blessing because 20kg may not sound a lot but once you come to lift this onto your body you will surely begin to dread any workout. So adjusting the weight and increasing slowly over time is a valued option many other vests don't give you. The vest fastens up nicely with two Velcro straps that loop from around the back and fasten back on themselves. Given any need to get out of the vest quickly or if your unable to get your hands to the sides to find the straps you can undo the straps from the front and flop it off with ease. I imagine a blessing after intense workouts.Totally satisfied with this product a lot of care and thought has gone into it and clearly shows. Thankyou Bulldog Gear.
This is an extremely good bit of kit, high quality materials with a brilliant fit.There is a big down side though…walking my dogs one day and I was met by an armed response unit from the police. They received reports that a guy was mooching around town wearing a suicide vest!!! I now just have the weights in a Bergen. I still look like a mercenary, but I don’t get H&K’s aimed at me on a daily basis.
