This is my moms perfume. I would say its bold, feminine, rich independent woman who would wear this. For me its a bit soapy, old, and strong on the florals. The dry down is where its at, it turns into gold, warm ambery note. This is not for the faint of heart. Maybe too mature even for me. Although sillage and projection is very good. For older women, this might be worthy to try

Complex, classic, classy. You want to smell expensive? Luxurious? Mysterious? This is the way to go. Warm spices and florals make this combination truly unforgettable. With notes of orange blossom and jasmine balanced with sandalwood and vanilla, you will be turning heads with this fragrance everywhere you go! The bottle is stunning, though it does have sharp corners, so please use caution.

To me, this opens very like Chanel No 19, at least on my skin. It’s a very beautiful, sophisticated white floral with an absolutely heavenly dry down. Silage and longevity are both excellent. I think it’s quite timeless and versatile. Can be worn day or night, casually or in more formal settings. Seems to bloom better in colder months. Plenty of bang for your buck, as one or two sprays are more than ample to last many hours. Smells like freshly cut white flowers when it settles. Just gorgeous.

This is a jeans, white cotton shirt scent and also a very buttoned up business suit scent. It's a day time and nighttime. It is strong as I said in the beginning - this may not be the best fragrance for the work environment if you have co workers who are sensitive to scents. Because this is such a very unique and strong scent I suggest trying it before you buy it, wear it and see how it dries down on you. Sadly I've read too many reviews of people who bought it based on all the 5 star reviews and hated it and couldn't return it. This is a fragrance you'll likely love...or hate. It's on the higher end of price point so I do strongly recommend trying before you buy. I'm not disappointed I bought it, it's not my favourite scent but I do love it from time to time and I do love and appreciate it's complexity and it's history.

For those that say this smells like an old lady, there is no such thing as an "old lady scent", only memories of adult women wearing these type of fragrances when you were a child. I would look at this fragrance and read the reviews every time I would go to FragranceX. I was lookingto something new and different. Finally I decided that I would try it. Best decision I ever made. Assoon as I received I had to try it. I tried a little and It was my new signature perfume along with myJoy. I would use my new love for every occasion and my Joy for a night out. So many expectations for 24 Faubourg.First sniff: bitterness. Caught aback, I smelled closer and decided to wait for it to develop. The orange, which starts bitter like orange peel (bergamot sure must be involved here!), and proceeds to a grow into a true, realistic orange, is ever present until the dry-down, bathed in warm amber, harmoniously blended with orange blossom. To my disappointment, the gardenia is less pronounced than I expected, while the hyacinth was constantly lingering in the background. True gardenia is a rare find in perfumes, and sadly 24 Faubourg didn't impress on that note. A reformulation, perhaps?Nonetheless this is worthy of being my new signature. I just can't get enough of it. I've been stopped on the street while jogging, and been followed by a guy to ask me about my perfume. (He described it as smelling of "lust". Creepy encounter altogether, but if 24 Faubourg can provoke such reactions...) The house of Hermes doesn't disappoint. Keep in mind, this is a scent for lovers of orange, orange blossom and gardenia. Crisp, clean, orange-white smell, perfect for daywear and special occasions alike. Regardsless, it's pricey - buy the tester before you head for the big bottle!I am in no affiliated with fragrancex or Hermes, or anyone for that matter.
