Excellent shorts. Love the addition of the normal pockets. The rear pocket is great for a key or gel etc. the only downside is the new pockets ride up on your leg while running and bunch up. Not a big issue but noticeable.

The design has gone backwards in the design of the elasticated waistband. Don’t like fabric feel or look of the new waistband. I also have previous version with a more traditional running short waistband though the drawstring on the outside was also annoying. Sometimes innovation and product development takes you backwards and some proven elements should not be messed with.RegardsRob

So yup, nothing fits in the pocket (side not back).That being said, I take tremendous research and precautions when buying good quality clothes. After reading every review, I decided to go ahead for this product....It is simply too good. It will be worth every penny.

I’ve got multiple pairs of these shirts, excellent fit and even better with pockets!How about some internal pocket, the rear one is a bit hit and miss.Good price when on sale, but durable and comfortable for running and hiit training.

Great fit and very comfortable. I liked the fact that there are side pockets and a zippered back pocket. They have the inner lining which is a must for me.A great deal for the Black Friday event.BTW, I was disappointed that your Force compression tights were not on sale while the Lightspeed ones were.I wear the Force compression tights as a base layer
My first pair of shorts from 2XU had side pockets and it was a disaster because my hands would get caught in the pockets while running. Otherwise they were perfect, so I just bought the same thing without side pockets. Since then, this is my 3rd pair of the same model and I jyst love them. The fit is perfect, they are light, they still look good after several laundries and they are so confortable. I use them mainly for running, but also for other sports, like boxing classes.
This is my second set of 2-in-1 shorts from 2XU. Both have been good and I think I like the material on this newer version better. I used these for crossfit. The shorter seam is good for the bigger thighs. The compression is really good - it's tight and forgiving in the correct places. Not overly tight in the crotch as a lot of newer compressions are. Will continue to wear these for workouts.
These are great. The design of the shorts provides comfort in all running styles, from long steady runs, to intervals, to hill sprints. The material also has that feel where it's almost cotton-like, yet doesn't cling, and wicks brilliantly.I originally bought two pairs of these then after my first run in one pair, I immediately bought another three.Looking forward to my next ultra in them
