Crafted from stretch woven fabric, the 2XU Aero 7" Running Shorts are lightweight, comfortable and breathable. Fast wicking properties draw moisture away from the skin so you remain dry while a brief liner and elastic waistband with an internal drawcord enhance the fit. A back zipper pocket gives secure storage to any small essential items and reflective detailing works to keep you visible when running in low lighting conditions. Care Instructions Machine wash in cold water with like colors. Do NOT Tumble dry. Hang to dry in a cool shady area away from sun. Do not use bleach, fabric softeners or dryer sheets. Do not iron.

First I will say that I'm not an elite racer, but that I'm a pretty fit 75 year old who just completed his 81st marathon in NYC last Sunday in 5:22 and hasn't seen sub 3 hours in 40 years. Bottom line, I'm very persistent, experienced and know what I like and prefer to permit myself to exert my efforts most comfortably. I own and enjoy a large variety of brands and have enjoyed many 2XU products over the years.Now for the Aero 7" shorts. They arrived just about a 10 days before the NYC Marathon, and were quite comfortable on my first wearing, a nice 90 minute easy trail run - no chafing and ample and stable pockets for a couple gels and car keys. As the marathon was quickly approaching, it became obvious that we were going to experience unusually unseasonable temperature and humidity and I had to adjust my thoughts on how to dress for a 5 hour plus effort. A few days prior to the marathon my dermatologist performed a procedure on my shoulder that made me consider a t-shirt instead of a tank or singlet. I remembered I had an extremely nice lightweight green Light Speed Tee - Sage Corrosion/Black Reflective / M (purchased the previous May) that would not only provide the comfort and protection I desired, but also coordinated well with my new shorts. In addition I was experiencing a bit of calf fatigue that last tapper week and decided to run wearing my 2XU Elite MCS Compression Calf Guards (purchased September 2021). All together 2XU provided me with much comfort and support for me to be proud of the effort I extended on a difficult day. See attached photo of me shortly after receiving my finishers medal showing little distress. Thank you 2XU. (Several running colleagues took note (unsolicited) of the lightweight fabric and coverage of the t-shirt). By the way, the coordinated outfit got noticed too.While at it, I will thank you for a couple other 2XU items that I wore running the Ridgefield Connecticut Half Marathon both as a tune up and garment tryout for the NYC Marathon 3 weeks after (the weather was quite different - a brisk autumn day). Notice the 2XU Men's MCS Run Compression Shorts and Aero Short Sleeve Jersey - Turmeric/White Reflective / L. Although not a biker, I purchased it for it's high visibility with the opening up of the deer bow hunting season in the wooded park where I do the preponderance of my training. I wanted to test if it would work as a marathon jersey with the large capacity pockets possibly eliminating the need for a pouch full of gels, lubricant and phone, and a zipper for ventilation or warmth as needed in a 5+ hour event. Oh, I wore the Elite MCS calf guards here too. Although slow I received second place age group award (maybe for my outfit). Thanks again 2XUFrom a very satisfied customer.... Show more

Go to shorts keep getting better

Great design that just works. 2XU shorts give you room to move without excess material flapping around. The side pockets are perfect for a snack or headlamp or anything else (light!) you might need to carry. These aren't the cheapest shorts around but you have to spend a lot more money to get anything marginally better. For those interested in sizing, I'm 183cm, 68kg, athletic build, and wearing mediums. Could probably go down a size but the mediums are good.... Show more

My favorite performance running shorts. I'm 168cm, slim build and purchased a size small. It fits perfectly. Inner brief is comfortable and the fabric overall is soft to the feel and very comfortable. The side pockets and rear zippered pocket are excellent and exactly what I was looking for in a summer running short. I was able to purchase these on sale which made for excellent value. It seems good quality so I expect it will be durable but time will tell. I'd recommend these shorts especially if you can pick them up on sale. This color was good for summer. I ended up getting a few other ones in different colors as they came on sale too.... Show more

Great fit and very comfortable. I liked the fact that there are side pockets and a zippered back pocket. Perfect for running and other sports

My first pair of shorts from 2XU had side pockets and it was a disaster because my hands would get caught in the pockets while running. Otherwise they were perfect, so I just bought the same thing without side pockets. Since then, this is my 3rd pair of the same model and I jyst love them. The fit is perfect, they are light, they still look good after several laundries and they are so confortable. I use them mainly for running, but also for other sports, like boxing classes.... This is my second set of 2-in-1 shorts from 2XU. Both have been good and I think I like the material on this newer version better. I used these for crossfit. The shorter seam is good for the bigger thighs. The compression is really good - it's tight and forgiving in the correct places. Not overly tight in the crotch as a lot of newer compressions are. Will continue to wear these for workouts.... Show more

Well designed structure and material

These are great. The design of the shorts provides comfort in all running styles, from long steady runs, to intervals, to hill sprints. The material also has that feel where it's almost cotton-like, yet doesn't cling, and wicks brilliantly.I originally bought two pairs of these then after my first run in one pair, I immediately bought another three.Looking forward to my next ultra in them...
