Bought this machine late last year to replace a tired Brother in my arsenal of sewing machines. I am so pleased with its sewing capabilities, have sewn everything from organza through to leather without a fault. The stitching is always uniform and hassle free, love the fact that this is a fast machine, I struggle to use any of the other 3 machines in my workroom now , they are so slow in comparison! As an intermediate user I bought this machine for small upholstery projects and to make men's outdoor clothing.It made light work of a pair of tweed trousers but I found the machine is really too fast and it is hard to control where precision is needed e.g. when following a curve. I am a sewing Machinist by trade and my little domestic machine broke before Christmas. I have an industrial machine but I wanted a more semi industrial /domestic machine to do more delicate work for the coffin Liners. I dealt with Singer direct via the Internet and the customer service was absolutely fantastic. I didn't need some of the things offered in the bundles and was offered alternatives which were more appropriate. I have used the machine and knew straight away I had made the right decision, which is unusual for me because I usually have to be hands on a machine before I buy. I WILL recommend Singer now to anyone who asks me, and alot of people do because of my trade. Thank you very much to Singer for the whole package and service provided.

Whilst I have used industrial sewing machines for many years, this is an okay domestic option. It’s somewhat noisy and could have better lighting. Needs more basic foots like invisible zipper and roll hem foot as they are basic requirements for sewing garments. It does say up to 1100 stitches per minute feels like it would struggle to get to that count. Lacks sturdiness, shakes when going at fast speed. Has some great features like clear view bobbin tray to see when thread is running out. Setup was perfect for thread tightness. Overall, a good domestic option.
This machine has everything you need. You can saw thick materials such as jeans and leather. It has plenty of stitches including stretch stitches for jersey. You can even get a double needle for jersey as it comes with an extra spool spin.The instructions are in English and in German. This is my first heavy duty machine and I’m really happy. I’ve spent years with a standard model making curtains etc. but something always went wrong, so it’s lovely having a machine that will be able to handle multiple layers easily! I’m still getting used to a different set up, but I love the top loader bobbin and the fact that you can see it, always a worry previously. The cotton reel on the top seems more stable sideways. Loading cotton onto the bobbin was a breeze! Invisible zip sewed on perfectly. Really pleased I made the investment! Oh - and I love the sound of it!

It works quite fast and dosent seems to be to restrain by the materials, it got quite alots of options as stich paterns too.However, for a heavy duty machin, it is way to light, seems empty... If you go too fast, the machin will try to run away from you. The foot pedal is super cheap, realy light and this makes it hard to place it well since its soo light that it gets pull by its wire. Then you have to pressure foot, who is not high enough too be sewing many layers, and it get stuck in the material because of that. It sews very smoothly and evenly, but I have not had to sew anything very thick or bulky yet so will wait to see how it copes with chunky seams. Thankfully I have not yet had to fiddle around with the tension which I was always doing with my old machine. It goes a bit too fast for me, faster than my last sewing machine, and I don't seem to be able to slow it down using the pedal, but I hope I will get used to it. The little plastic cover allows you to see how much thread is left on the spool, but it feels very flimsy.However, I am puzzled by the position of the needle, which is to the left of centre and not in the middle where I would expect it to be.
