3M 48mm x 22.8m All Weather Duct Tape

All weather, NOT! Do Not even for one moment think this is going to act like one of the waterproof tapes. It doesn't stick to anything that is cold or wet. You better have a way of completely drying your surface prior to application or it won't stick. Even then it more than likely will fail and fail miserably. When you are in a critical situation and need to tape something? This IS NOT IT. It will do nothing more than aggravate you even more than what you already are. Trust me on this....do. not buy this tape.

Glue Pulling off the tape on the Roll

Like other reviewers, I too am experiencing the issue of the glue pealing off the tape as I try to pull it off the roll. I tried to cut through the roll to get to the good tape but could not fix the issue. I am returning it to the store. By the way, I chose this 3M product for two reasons: (1) it advertised it was best for all weather; and (2) I generally like 3M products.

Non-stick on cold, dry surfaces

By cold, I mean surfaces at about -5 C and below (as measured with IR thermometer) which around here means totally everything outside from early December to mid-March. As soon as the tape touches a cold surface, the glue layer instantly becomes non-adhesive. Therefore it can't be applied outside in winter, not even for Christmas decorations (unless you set them up early, in November...). Thousands of uses for construction and outdoor activities! If you are like me, you keep a roll handy because you are going to need it. I am hoping that this new ALL WEATHER tape will last longer in direct sun as that was always the major problem with using duct tape outdoors. It would degrade pretty quickly and start coming apart. This tape is certainly strong enough. One of the pics shows a 6 inch piece of tape holding up a full gallon of paint. It is stuck to a fairly rough plastic finished table. My other duct tape won't do this. I'm impressed!

[Rewarded Review] Fantastic Duct Tape

3M makes awesome adhesives and this All Weather Duct Tape is no exception. I used it to repair my large trash bin. The current waste provider doesn’t want to replace the bins because they lost the contract and will be replaced by another company soon. I taped the bin together with the 3M All Weather Duct Tape doubting that it would hold considering that the bin stays outside and must withstand being picked up by a mechanical arm for dumping. But, to my surprise the tape is holding up quite well!I am always impressed with 3M products; this All Weather Duct Tape is no exception.

This All Weather Duct Tape certainly is sticky.It is a bit more difficult to tear than “regular”3M duct tape, but I suspect that has something to do with the All Weather description. I haven’t had the opportunity to use this in a damp situation but it sticks as well as any duct tape I’ve used in dry settings. It’s much more durable than some other brands I’ve used. I’m a duct tape tearer and don’t usually cut it, but I would recommend cutting this tape when using it. It sticks to the roll very well, and I found it tended to get strings on the long edge if torn.It will be my go to duct tape going forward.

[Rewarded Review] Quality 3M Duct Tape

This 3M All Weather Duct Tape is another great duct tape product from 3M. This duct tape has so many uses both indoors and outdoors. Even though this duct tape is heavier/thicker than standard duct tape, you can still tear it from the roll and even tear it down the length of the tape, although a utility knife would make a cleaner cut. The tape has a strong adhesive and bonds well to many different surfaces. It also seems to hold up well under wet conditions. When you're reaching for the duct tape to "fix" something, you want a tape that is strong and will stay in place and this duct tape will get the job done.The pic of the roll hanging was like that for days and probably would have stayed forever.

3M 1.88 in. x 25 yd. All Weather Duct Tape, Gray is a quality product with a name you can trust. Other brands of duct tape don’t hold up or last like 3M does. This tape is weather proof, has good holding power and is terrific for repairs. We’ve used it to seal around the window a/c unit, to wrap cords, labeling, wraparound rough handles on garden tools, and to patch rips in tarps. Scissors not handy, no problem…this tape rips easily and even tears into strips. We keep a roll in the house, shed and garage so it’s always on hand. Thanks 3M for another quality product.

[Rewarded Review] Why is 3M a leader in adhesive tapes?

Oh, the ol' standby fix most anything called duct tape. 3M has been a leader in adhesive tapes from stick-it notes to this high quality all weather tape.I recently had a new boiler installed and it came with a plastic sleeve in which to place warranty and owner paperwork. The self-stick on the sleeve didn't work attaching it to the side of the boiler. I used just two pieces of this all weather tape to secure the sleeve and all the paperwork to the side of boiler. The high heat in the boiler room should not be a problem with this tape.There are lots of less expensive tapes and they all try to copy the leader. One cannot beat 3M products in their overall quality.
