Fits well. Comfortable for long periods. Quick latch release is great when you need to talk frequently, as when demonstrating a technique. The filters I have for my 7500-series mask (which I also love) all fit this mask as well. Good to have easy access online to the small size; few stores carry a small size and the right fit is imperative for full protection.

The mask is great! Light weight and easy to use. I have a tiny pinhead and the small fits well. There was a rubbery smell to it, but that completely disappeared after I washed it with soap and water. I had another half face respirator, but it was much heavier, and harder to take off and put on. The whole thing had to come off if I wanted a drink of water. The early arrival during Covid was a bonus. Came in sealed packaging with all the spec sheets.

Purchased this for welding and spray paint. It works great for both. However for my Lincoln K3099-4 welding helmet I cannot use the taller P100 style filter assemblies like the 60921 or the 60926. Unless you have a helmet wider than my Lincoln you will have to stay with filters like the shorter 6001 or 6003. Also just as a couple of side notes: If you have a beard the mask does not seal around your lower face, which is to be expected. Long mustachios might also be problematic. No fault of the mask, it is top cabin ... just is what it is. Another point; After use, I wipe the inside of the mask off with rubbing alcohol to sanitize it before storing the mask in a 1 gallon zip-lock plastic bag, just to keep dust, mold and critters from taking up residence.

For a mask that is supposed to be rugged I would expect a much better build quality. The headgear is very flimsy, especially the cheap clips holding the straps (which are prone to break). On top of that, the design doesn't allow to dissipate moisture sufficiently, which means after 10 minutes of use in a normal environment the cup will get dripping wet inside where moisture accumulates above a thick ridge over the exhaling opening.On the upside, it's comfortable to wear and it seals properly even when moving the head a lot.All in all this is hardware store quality, not what I expect for a product aimed at professionals.
I've already been using a standard 3M mask with p100 filters for a covid hospital and it works great. Came across this mask and noticed it had a quick release feature. This mask has been super helpful as I've used it for the past week. Very easy to release and relock. I grab the exhalation vent with my thumb and pull down on the lever with my index finger. Quick to learn with one handed use. I've even had a few oworkers purchase some as well! To be honest the other standard 3M was a tiny bit more comfortable. The material on this QR mask itslef feels a bit different but none the less, I'm getting no inhalation leaks even with my bit facial hair (goatee). But I'm quickly getting used to it and it does not slip and slide off my face. Will be recommending this to others!
These 3m half mask respirators are my savior in any projects I do. My job is usually around dirty environments and I get different kinds of filters for different pollutants in the air but the overall greatness of these masks is the comfort, I can use these all day and not be as tired as other masks that I have tried are not comfortable to wear.
Yeah, I look funny, but when I put this respirator on, I look like someone you should socially distance from. With 3M 7030 P100 filters and a respirator that is fitted to ensure a seal between me and the outside world I can be confident when encountering those exercising their freedoms and not wearing masks. They may kill their family, but I can be sure they wont kill mine. The respirator is comfortable enough to run in. Just in case cops without masks or a mask less choir is chasing you. Buy 2, but make sure you get the right size for your face and head by visiting the 3M 6500 series respirator specs page. Be well.
Fits securely after adapting the straps to fit face size. The rear clip is easy to attach and remove. It is worth fitting first in position and then take off and add the filters otherwise it can be difficult to adjust the straps once the filters are on.
If you can live with looking different, this is the best mask to keep you safe! Add to this the cartridge with the pink rim around the edge and you are the safest you can be.I had one at the outset of this virus. They were hard to find the cartridges, but now it is better.Lucky me, I had a couple of spares at the outset.But with the frequent use, the mask straps had begun to wear and slip.I was thrilled to find this site with the headsets at a reasonable price.They shipped quickly and I am very happy!

The soft silicone seal provides a very good seal and is very comfortable to wear even when wearing for long periods of time. The quick release latch is very handy when you want to drop the mask without having to remove it altogether and the downward facing exhaust valve works great at keeping safety glasses from fogging up. The one BIG negative of this respirator and why it received only 3 stars is the head strap. It is rather thin and delicate elastic and the plastic hooks are very flimsy and cheaply made.
