3M 6800 6000 Series Full Face Respirator Medium

I felt decieved by the picture showing both the mask & filters, when I ordered I thought I was getting the full product. I waited a long time to get this and when I finally got it, there was no cartridges! I was very upset that I could not use my mask tell I bought them too... For the price I paid, it should’ve came with full mask AND filters! Now i cant order filters cuz the are out if stock! Now I’m wondering if I buy the cartridges ... will they come with the filters or separate?!?!??

A great mask if you're bald or have a buzzcut, socks for everyone else.

It's a great mask that has one terrible flaw, it's too hard to get on and off. It needs to have straps that hook up behind your head and unhook so you can take it straight away from your face. I have long hair and when I slide those rubber straps over my head it gets tangled up in my hair pulling it. For a long haired person it's just about worthless.

First mask I actually been able to breath in. Can wear it for some hours till it starts to irritate my face. Usually I am fatigued by then any way. Need to keep it a little bit low and tight around the chin. If you open your mouth for anything even just to lick your lips it can feel loose or break the seal if not snug enough. Pile on the Chap Stick before putting on mask. Also wash your face with moisturizing soap so you don't get a face itch while it's on. Otherwise you may find yourself taking itch breaks where you remove the mask. One more thing -- the screw on filters work great.

Gave this 4 stars rather than 5 because of its high price. Im a small woman, 5 1 and medium is a good fit. I wear these while wood turning. I also wear slim reading glasses with the mask. This is difficult to adjust and would not wear glasses if wearing them while using the mask around a toxic material like anhydrous ammonia. I also purchased shield protectors to prevent pitting from CA glue splatter that occasionally accidentally occurs when making repairs in turned wood. The great thing about 3M is that many different kinds of filters can be fitted to this one mask which makes it extremely flexible.

I use this every day when working with resin- I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Field of vision is wide and clear, feels like I'm not wearing anything over my eyes. Great seal to my face. Quick and easy on and off with the rubber straps. Really happy with this purchase and I've been recommending it to all my artist friends.

Ive been buying these 3M respirators for years. They are not as comfortable as they use to be. The mediums I bought almost felt like they were small. Also the first one seemed foggy as if the lense polishing process was incomplete. No way to clean it off.

Ignoring the puerile ebay star categories, I rated it 4 stars because it is the cheapest way to overhaul a used 6200 mask. Despite not too much use, mine had deteriorated (filters OK and in date), the rubber was discolouring and losing flexibility, a clip had broken, and one of the two straps behind my head had snapped, By the time one buys all the recommended overhaul bits separately, valves strap etc, it's twice as much. The pre-filter covers on mine were also breaking up, but still usable. Would I buy another 6200 mask when this one is used up? No, probably not. The materials used seem to be flimsy and/or inadequate for the job given my experience above. I expected better of 3M. Protesting safely in a world with COVID

Combined with P100 filters this was the only way I felt I could protest safely during COVID. With the larger canister cartrages the mask is a little heavy but combined with a sun hat it was much cooler than I thought it was going to be. I was able to wear it for hours without issue. I now use this mask for any indoor shopping and have applied blue towel filteration to the exhaust.

Respirator for ER RN working with COVID-19 patients

Paying $189 for this product seems like it may be marked up to the point where one may consider it price gouging. Currently working as an Emergency Department Professional Staff Nurse, buying these pieces of equipment is essential for my safety. I am grateful for the product, however, after purchasing this product from Miramar Paints due to receiving a recommendation from a Nurse Anesthetist colleague and then finding the same exact product available with filter cartridges for $69 on other reputable sites 2 weeks later was disheartening. Still testing the product while working with COVID-19 patients. I am still currently not ill and feel exhausted but healthy and in good spirits. Thank you for the respirator mask.

Did you know ceramic fiber Kaowool insulation is almost as dangerous to your lungs as asbestos? What about metal plating? If you make a mistake and spill acid in your cyanide bath, you should know that almost no common gas mask filters are actually rated for hydrogen cyanide. If you smell almonds, it may already be too late. But this unit in contrast would still save you, assuming you put the intake pump far enough away from you. Enjoy electronics? Not to mention the risk of tiny airborne lead vapor particles that will damage the brain. This mask blocks it all at once, even if it misses your fume extractor fan. Do you need to sand a big piece of metal? Sandblast something? Cut into some fibrous and spiky glass composite? Chop up some steel? Especially stainless steel? Exactly the same hazards as those listed above, and this thing will save you from all of them. Do you normally use N95/N99 masks? Well, this is an N100.000000 mask, because it is positive-pressure so you aren't breathing the local air around you at all. And it never has to be replaced, so it costs less money over time. Just try to drive it from an oil-free air compressor if possible. Keeps the filters cleaner. I lost my old one while moving and immediately bought another as soon as I realized it was gone. This is easily one of the most important tools I own.
