I really like the 3M brand earplugs. They seem to fit my ears better than other brands. The plugs with the cord are what I usually use but there are times when I want the headband style. I had some and they went missing so I ordered another. Then, of course, found the missing ones when was doing some housecleaning. Nice to have two pairs to have at my multiple workbenches.These are nice and sturdy. The headband part is not adjustable and that's the only thing I think would improve them.

So much easier and better than the individual foam ear plugs! I’ve used them many times. Not as good at canceling out noise as actual full ear muff protection. But easier to wear with a hard hat. And you can wear them around your neck when not using.

I Recently purchased the 3M Branded Hearing protector. It’s light and comfortable to carry around your neck as you go about working and moving back and forth. You don’t even feel them as they hang on your neck. When needed they are readily available and easy to place into your ears. The foam inserts are really comfortable and conform to your ear cavity well thus minimizing as much noise as possible (28db). I’ve purchased and used other similar products with name brands before that were more expensive and noticed they are a bit harder and won’t fit my ears correctly. I will buy 3M again and highly recommend.

These ear protectors stay in your ears and help to protect my hearing from loud sounds. I use them at the gym to protect my ears from the loud music. Other ladies in my classes have asked me where I purchased them, so they could also purchase them to protect their hearing. I also use them on the golf course when they are using leaf blowers close to where I am playing golf.

Best mobile ear protection

This is the best ear protection you can get if you are taking earplugs on and off repeatedly. The alternatives all have negative trade offs. If you get just the plugs, they get lost and you have to buy more. If you get the ones that come on a string, they inevitably get tugged out of place causing pain. If you get the big muff type, it's mire constricting around the neck when not in use.

Good Product but No Replacement Pods

The product works well in terms of noise reduction, fit and convenience. Would rate a "five" for most building construction purposes, but although the description says the "pods" are removeable and replaceable, I don't believe these are available anywhere for purchase.

Hearing protection

Another dependable 3M safety product. Hearing protection is extremely important. Take it from someone who has worked in a noisy environment for 50 years. I ignored hearing safety for the first 20 years. Now I only have 50% hearing capability. You won’t realize it until it’s to late. Protect your hearing, it’s all you got !

I love this form of hearing protection. The plastic band holds them in place more securely than the ear plugs on string. The band also provides tension, holding the ear plugs in place so they can be applied with one hand when necessary. They also do not completely occlude the ear canal so, while they deaden loud noises, they also make it possible to hold conversations while they are in.Do not use these for very loud applications, i.e. concrete saws and indoor shooting ranges. They take the edge off loud, regular tool and landscaping noises, but should not substitute for more substantial protection from louder noises.

Not sturdy enough

Sad. I had one pair of these that lasted three months before I snapped them. I liked the convenience of them, so I bought another pair and was extra careful but they snapped on the second day. I wish they were slightly more sturdy because I like the design.

Useless

Even though I have smaller inner ears, and generally have a problem finding ear buds to fit and stay in my ears, these did fit snugly into my ears. However, they did nothing to dull the sounds of power tools, or even the neighbors doing yard work across the street. If anything, they actually created a more annoying sound every time I moved and the band rubbed against the back of my neck. Another concern for me is the lack of replacement plugs for this thing.
