As alfresco relaxing and dining at home is fast becoming a favourite past time for many people, our Instahut Outdoor Umbrella is a perfect complement to any outdoor furniture setting and décor. Featuring an elegant waterproof and UV-resistant fabric top covering 3m in diameter, the Outdoor Umbrella utilises a cantilevered aluminium side post to allow maximum useable space under the shade. No centre pole to get in the way of your enjoyment. Better still, the Umbrella top and base can be adjusted and pivoted towards the sun for the right amount and angle of shade. Opening and closing is also made quick and easy with a user-friendly cranking system. Not least, the entire steel frame, such as the 8-rib top supports, and supporting pole are powder-coated for toughness while the steel base can be readily bolted in place or weigh down. Note: The base of the Outdoor Umbrella requires at least two concrete pavers or sandstone paving piles to keep it in place. The latter are not included with this product. Although our Outdoor Umbrella is designed to withstand mild weather conditions, it is only a temporary structure and is not recommended for use under extreme weather conditions or for a prolonged period of time. Please store away after use.

This Umbrella blew over on a windy day and is now unusable. The metal structure broke and then made tears in the fabric. Both the metal and the fabric lack the strength required for outdoor use. I assume there is a warranty on the product and wish to make

Excellent quality and value. Assembly fairly easy and smooth operation. Be aware though that these are inherently unstable and are affected by the slightest breeze if not restrained. The feet have lips so we have put paving slabs on these lips in each quadrant of the base and that works for light winds. I would recommend tying it to a building or something heavy if you want it use in anything but a very light wind.

About the 3rd time of using this the fabric around the edge tore. The fabric is weak to withstand a light breeze and has no reinforcing around umbrella ends which would have mitigated the issue. Fabric faded quickly even when packed up.
Only purchased this Umbrella at Xmas. But I'm very pleased with it so far. Arrival was quick, and well packed. Assembly easy enough. Having the swivel base is really handy and we didn't have this last time. The way it folds back to itself is also better, and not swinging in the breeze. Value for money, if it last longer than one season.
Product looks good quality- still to test is out in windy conditions with suggested base pieces. I filled each of these bases with sand. Be sure to use very fine grained dry sand and a large funnel as the opening is quite small and damp sand easily clogs the opening.
The umbrella itself is amazing, very sturdy - but be warned this model does not work with any Instahut bases. The clearance height is 4cm, and all based are 7cm by standard. Only option is some concrete pavers from my local paving store. Why would Instahut sell a product and not have a base that works with it's cross bar? Just seems to defy logic.
