Great piece of gear. Light weight very compact. I used it all last year. In heavy rain it kept me dry. It stopped working towards the end of the year, but because I was drying it when I would wash it. And that melted the seals enough to where water started coming in. I should’ve read the instructions on washing it. It probably would’ve last me a long time. The best feature I liked was that the hoodie was adjustable with Velcro on the back of the head that made it to where the hoodie wasn’t falling down and covering my eyes. I also wish I could afford the $400 pants that go with this.P.S. I also have the black one, definitely worth the money!

This is an awful rain jacket for actual usage. Within 30 minutes of standing in the rain it became completely saturated with water and no longer repelled the water. My torso and shirt were soaking within an hour. Would be fine walking to and from your car maybe, But to be listed as a Duty Rain Jacket and cost $115 I expected to stay dry a bit longer.

Originally ordered an XL and it was far bigger than I thought. 5.11 customer service was amazing in getting me the proper size. The jacket, itself, is everything I wanted it to be. Waterproof and breathable.

I’m a big fan of the 5.11 brand. But I’m disappointed the very first day I bought this product I was able to put it to the test. I bought two , one for my son and one for me. Water came through all the supposed sealed seems. We where out on the rain for about 10 minutes. We took them off and used our old Columbia wind breakers instead. I would really like to get a refund
The Exos jacket is very expensive so the expectation is it will be worth the cost, but for me it wasn't. The waist cinch is rather odd, with the tightening string coiled in loops inside both side pockets. Not sure why that was considered a good idea because everything you put in the pockets gets tangled in it, including your fingers. The sizing doesn't seem accurate either, but instead of too small its too big. I take XL for things like this but it was actually too long in the body and arms. I have longer arms than my torso would suggest so to have something with sleeves long on me is all but impossible. The workmanship and construction is good but neither the design nor materials feel like they come from a $130 jacket. The shortcomings might be overlooked if it was ... MoreThe Exos jacket is very expensive so the expectation is it will be worth the cost, but for me it wasn't. Our Company bought 10 of these for our 10 instructors. We all wore them one day when it rained. It rained for 30 minutes and we all were drenched as if we hadn't wore anything. We ordered them through GALS and to be honest we decided not to bother with returning the product but I will make sure we never order these type jackets again.
I really like how 5.11 designed this jacket…. They did a great job with the picket zippers, and everything else for that matter….
Keeps me dry in the elements. Quite for hunting. Recommend jacket. Worth every penny.
Used it at work and it failed within the first 2 hours of a steady drizzle. My hoody I underneath got damp around the back of the neck and you could see the wet mark. Inside of the jacket felt wet throughout as well. I wouldn't say it's worthless cause it did keep some of water away but it's not waterproof and I wouldn't rely on it.I'll be returning it. It's a shame because I own several 5.11 products and love them all.
I have had this jacket for a couple months and it doesn't work very well. I was out in the rain today and I was soaked within 45 minutes.
