I ve been hiking in these pants. Love them for their functionality. You can put Garmin in reach inside one pocket. Put your light rain jacket into cargo pocket. Put a pocket knife into it's spatial pocket. If you carry multitool there's a pocket for it. The downside is it's a little on the heavier side. And the worst thing is that peace of cloth like a small belt on the back of the pants. I countless times dropped my phone trying to put it inside the back pocket.

I love these pants. I’ve been wearing the ones I have for the last three months at work and I REALLY NEED two more pairs immediately. I ordered them like I had before. Then 4 days later my order is abruptly canceled due to being out of stock. An inventory error on their part. All I get is an apology for their error and a code for free shipping on my next order. I ordered two pairs of these pants which already qualified for free shipping. That does me no good. I can’t wear an apology at work. This type of situation is no different from any other company. I bought my pants here because of the reputation I heard about this company, All every company does anymore is give a hollow apology but never makes the situation right. This is my 5th pair of pants from 5.11. All their pants are really good. I have two pairs of the tac lite pro, and three of these. Both models are very similar, but these are a little tapered going towards the feet; although they are still very roomy. Love the multiple pockets. Although I do wish they’d make the small front covered Velcro pocket a bit deeper for slightly bigger flashlights. As of now I just use it to hold a spare magazine for my carry. The flashlight just clips into my main pocket. I carry a lot on me on a daily basis. Firearm, extra mag, flashlight, multi tool, phone, wallet, keys, ear buds, backup battery, coins, and a water bottle all in the pockets. These pants carry it all without issue.

Materials are excellent. The pants are well constructed, very comfortable. Pockets are plentiful, well placed and intuitively designed. The only drawback for me is the "tool belt." I realized I didn't need it, but I liked the overall fit and look of these pants so I thought I could overlook the belt. I can't overlook it because it has snagged on a couple small trees and a piece of equipment on one of my jobsites. Obviously, these will not be used on site walk days.
These pants are my absolute favorite to wear to work I’ve bought 5 over the last 3 years. Comfort amazing. I’ve had barbs on heavy cables slide on these pants, of course ripped my skin a bit but not the pants themselves haha. These pants aren’t immortal of course. First pair got rips in the back pocket from my water proof wallet case from moving and sitting on it over a year and had a maritime radio in the front pocket that most probably use for pens , anyways cable got behind it and ripped it open. I’d say they hold up better then any other pants I’ve had. Saying all this the water proof aspect is going to go away with time with washing and drying. Great for Hikes and hardest dirtiest work you can do. Highly highly recommend.
Very disappointed in this product and the company. I bought these in green and absolutely loved them so I bought another pair in khaki. Worst decision ever. Their claim of stain resistant is far from true! I wore these one day and already had a stain by the front right pocket even after I washed them per the instructions. This is while wear coveralls! Should have never bought this color. I’ve reached out to the company twice now with no response! I want to love this pair as much as the green ones but unfortunately between the claim of stain resistant and lack of customer service I can’t!
You will never be disappointed! I’ve had these pants for over 5 years. I work as a broadcast technician. My work environment is -45 to 120 degrees. I work in the mud, rain, sun. I crawl around underneath trucks, stadiums and in grass, turf, rocks, brick and other materials. My knees are intact , pockets are solid, I have dark colors with almost zero fade on the black. The worst thing for 511 is I haven’t had to purchase any new pants!!! You won’t be unhappy with the quality and the amount of pockets.
Love the new Tapered Leg,OG Strap on the Back. Cell phone pocket on the side by the belt line.Material is on point,light weight but still 5.11 sturdy. Right leg pocket on front for my 5.11 flashlight. Mag pouch on left leg, perfect!!! Overall Very well thought out & executed. Lastly the price is really shocking low. I just purchased 3 pairs & will be buying 6 more for work. All my other 5.11 pants will be getting dusty on the shelf. All the guys in my unit are also converting over.

I doubt that the color of the fabric is really the determining factor, but thats how it turned out for me. Despite the discrepancies, both fits are comfortable and functional.One button has worn through the ribbon it was attached with. Stitching at the seams is not bombproof but holds up well. Stretch section on waistband/pocket lining is brilliant. Pockets are very functional, just wish the side pockets sat a little bit higher. These pants are amazing. They feel stiff and may not feel like they'll fit well when brand new but they break in after a short time and fit great. I have had multiple pairs that I have worn for almost 4 years now, and they are very durable. I have hiked through extremely thick brush, slid down mountainsides, worked construction, and I only have a few small tears on the oldest pairs. Considering how durable they are with how lightweight and breathable they are, these are really good pants. Not to mention the attractive price tag!
