These pants are awful. I have worn 5.11 tactical pants before and they are hard to find so I was excited to find these and willing to pay the insane price tag. But, I'm super disappointed. They fit ok (if you just stand there) but the design and construction is just awful. The rise is too short, these are TACTICAL pants not fashion, I can't get the belt over my hip bones. When are designers going to understand that low-rise pants are NOT a good design and most women don't like them! This causes the pants to lay weird because of the way the belt/waist band is designed. It crumples up just to keep my pants from sliding down. The belt loops are so wide that you cannot clip anything onto them, remember, tactical is the key word here. The stitching in the belt band and label is so rough that unless you tuck in a shirt it rubs my skin raw. The pockets are sewn so tight that I can't hardly get my hands in them, again not really tactical if I can use pockets quickly. Also the front pockets have so much stiff material or stitching that when I sit in the car, it literally cuts the circulation off in my legs because the it is strangling the area of my hip flexors/groin. This also due to the fact the rise is too short. And just to be extra annoying, the zipper flap is placed in which you have to use your left hand to zip up your pants, great if you are left handed but most people are not. Personally, the amount of money I paid for these, I should get a refund because I can't even wear them...and I tried because I wanted to like them.

I really enjoy the feel on the feet when wearing these shoes. Their light weight but added comfort. I have multiple pairs and wear size 11. These and the others are most worn whether working out, going out, casual or hanging out. I have a pair for specifically to run in too.The color schemes 511 has come up with brings a GREAT look when putting them on. I actually get a lot of looks when I’m looking at peps eyes. Their eyes inconspicuously gravitate down and then the head slowly moves down and quickly back up trying to see if I noticed. I usually do because I’m wearing sunglasses or simply just paying attention to my surroundings. In my opinion can’t go wrong and especially when 511 drops the price to $40 roughly…WHAT A FLIPPING STEAL!!Happy Times!!

I bought a pair of these from my local Cabela's exactly one week ago because I need a good and strong pair of pants for what I do in Private Security. I was recommended these pants, and took the leap on getting them since they were about $100 after taxes. Well a week in, washed one time, and worn them for 5 1/2 shifts and 1/2 through the current shift in on they start falling apart. First I notice threads pulling up from the right side cargo pocket and see that the threads are coming loose and the closing flap is pulling away. Mind you I've opened this pocket a total of three times now but to store my back up flashlight. A seam on the inside near the zipper has threads start pulling out and coming apart, that I tied the threads on, on shift to keep it from pulling ... MoreI bought a pair of these from my local Cabela's exactly one week ago because I need a good and strong pair of pants for what I do in Private Security. Bought a pair for my son. He had a pair previously that no longer fit him. He's just under 6 feet tall about 200 pounds and the 36x34 I bought fit him great! They are a relaxed fit around the hips and thighs with a straight leg. He loves them--says the fit is perfect, lots of pockets, and they flex/stretch as he moves. I bought the Storm color which online looks like a dark brown/gray but it's really just a mid to dark gray. To me, the material seems a bit lightweight but like I said above, my son really likes them. My son wears them to work and for times when he wants to wear something other than jeans.
After I got my first pair of Stryke pants, I got rid of all my old military BDU style pants. Stryke is just a little stretchy, comfortable, and durable. The pockets are low profile as far as flap cargo pockets go, and the welt pockets on the front are good for clipping low profile tools and keys like those from KeyPort. I wore them with a armed security uniform for years at a college and they performed excellently with both a duty belt and later a reinforced 1.75" belt. The front pockets actually worked good to conceal by backup gun, a S&W J-Frame in a Desantis Super Fly pocket holster. The stretchy wastelands also work great for accommodating IWB holsters. These are my favorite pants for hiking and doing security work.
I have worn these for about a year and these pants are dramatically better than our standard uniform pants. My two main complaints: the knee pad pocket is a bit too high on the knee. They sit exactly right while standing, but when you kneel the pant legs naturally ride up so the knee pad only partially covers the surface of the knee that touches the ground. Item two, the inseam is a little high for my preference, wouldn't mind a bit more room in the groin, particularly when getting in and out of the cruiser frequently, things get crowded, especially when wearing extra layers in winter. That said the mobility and clean look might be impacted by the room so to each their own. That said the mobility and clean look might be impacted by the room so to each their own. I ordered pants a size larger, width and length, to compensate for these issues with mild success. Otherwise, the water resistance, large pockets, pocket angles, flex waist, clean cut, mobility, breathability, and light wind resistance make these pants a great choice. The flex waist in particular is nice as extra layers and food babies does punish you all shift.
I've been wearing these pants for years. Literally 10 years. I'm a ER nurse. I hate scrub pants.. I think they look feminine. I recently bought another 4 pairs of these pants... and a few vests.. a pair of shorts. Spent well over $500.. the newly purchased pants fit NOTHING like my last few pairs. They had baggy legs, no stretching waist, long crotch.. Unfortunately, I returned them all and continue to wear the same pairs I've been wearing for the last 4-5 years. But they're wearing our for sure. Hopefully they can figure out the consistency, and not simply choose the lowest bidding manufacture.
Normally I wear 44 waist pants (I own 8-pair) so the stretch tunnel waistband should be extra comfortable but it is not. If you have to spend time sitting or squatting you should order a size up. The pants do shrink after washing so the first wear feels great but after a few wash and drys the tightness becomes noticeable. Order a size up if you want comfort.Next, lately all pants above 44 are not hemmed which is not cool when you’re paying $82 a pair. If not hemmed is the only choice, the cost of hemming should be deducted from the price.Overall: a great pant that runs small. The pants last forever. The pockets are wonderful and the two front waist pockets are great for a flashlight or knife. Ironing is never needed if you hand them promptly after washing. I have about 8-10 pairs of Stryke pants. Some I’ve worn for over 3 years. The rest a minimum of 1.5. No issues. The older are slightly faded. All are very useable. I’ve worked outdoors the whole time. Forest Preserve Policing gets you dirty a lot of days, climbing, walking, riding a bike, boating, path clearing, etc. The pants clean up and hold up nicely. They dry pretty quickly. I’m working different Police Departments now but the pants are still used. I read the negative reviews and can’t believe they’re talking about the same pants I wear all day (12+ hrs). These are the best uniform pants I have ever worn in over 25+ years of outdoor Police work.
I retired from police work several years ago and started my 3rd career in Aviation Maintenance where I'm constantly climbing, crawling, bending, kneeling, etc in some uncomfortable locations and positions in/under various types of aircraft. I needed pants that performed well in difficult, and uncomfortable positions and conditions for several hours at a time. Having had great success with the 5.11 Stryke pant while working as a K9 officer,I felt these were the right pants for my work needs. Comfortable and durable, and they look great! My only complaint is the pant length. In every brand or style pant I wear a length of 32. These, however, come up a little short at 32, so I have to go with 34 length.
