I would have given it five stars instead of four, but the sizes are weird. Every 511 products including this one that I’ve bought I need to buy one size bigger around the waist. Because they were online purchases this meant I had to mail it back in and wait for the correct size to be shipped to me. Not to mention the slightly bruised ego lol.

Bought these for my husband for his summer hog hunting with our dogs. He needs pants that are breathable, but with ripstop due to briars and terrain and these pants fit the bill. We won't use the knee pad inserts, but the mesh on the back side of the knees make it super breathable, and they've survived a few hunts in nasty terrain pretty well so far! Also didn't stain with blood getting on them. Ordering another pair very soon! He's super picky on pants due to size (he's 6,7" and 320, size 44-42x34), durability, and breathability. I think we have a new favorite for summer!

I own two pairs of these pants and love them. They do not have the expanding waist like the original Stryke pants, but they overall waist is somewhat elastic due to the light weight material at and above the pockets. This is the same material right behind the knee. It allows these pants to breathe very well. These pants appear to be articulated a little more than the basic 5.11 pants and even more so than the original Stryke pant. They have very heavy duty draw strings at the cuff of the pants. I highly recommend them. They are a little higher in price, but well worth it in my opinion. I like my pants long and when I wear boots and jeans I wear a 36 length. My other 5.11 pants are all 36 length. My first pair of the Stryke TDU pants were ordered with a 36 length, ... MoreI own two pairs of these pants and love them. Great fit if you order one size larger inn the waist. Runs small. Lots of custom areas that are reinforced. Great pants! Very sturdy! Very pleased!
I have 2 pair of these pants - and you quit making them or have no inventory in my size. I would buy multiple more if I could find them. I even bought a pair in a longer hem length and had them cut down to 32 inches for me. They have lasted forever and look as sharp now - 4 years from purchase as they did day 1.MAKE SOME MORE!!!
First of the customer service was top notch Lynn took great care of my order as my pants were a little small return was simple with no issues. On to the pants build quality was very good I felt they ran a little small so I would suggest getting the next size up waist. I picked these up on a great sale price will definitely order from 5.11 in the future.
I use these as uniform Khaki pants with my unit polo uniform, and I often wear these to the range and for hiking. They are lightweight and definitely waterproof. These pants are bloused so I can tie them around or tightly in my boot. The pockets are on a whole new level. Felt lining cleans my phone screen every time I take it out, plus the inclusion of smaller (but definitely not small) pockets within the bigger pockets are kept tightly to the wearer’s leg. It allows me to keep gear in my pockets without them looking baggy or bulky. I will definitely be ordering another pair.
The material and the quality of the pants were on par with 5.11's usual but was surprised by some missing and an added feature of the specific, TDU pants. The slash front pockets in the front of the standard "Stryke" pant, that make cell phone and knife so easy to carry are missing on the TDU model and the added cuff string tie on the TDU model I found to be unnecessary and just something to trip on if it were to come untied.I sent them back for an exchange for the standard "Stryke " pants.
Zipper is way shorter than a pair of dickies. There should be two snaps instead of one to get them on easier. There should be an option to purchase without the legging ties as once tied they make you untie them to remove the pants. The belt loops are of adequate size and the fabric is comfortable. Nice that one can easily return product with minimal hassle. Note that when they ship your return there is not a tracking number. I had no idea where the package was for almost a week.
Tried on a pair of these at our local 5.11 shop today during their grand opening, which BTW is a very nice shop and they did a great job with the space. I really wanted a pair of these and picked out my normal size (36x34). After waiting to get a dressing room for a while (the store was a popular spot today as a result of the promos and events for the grand opening) I tried them on and they fit pretty great everywhere except for the waist. It was muffin top city and although I could wear them and fasten them w/ no issue, when sitting I felt it would just be really uncomfortable as they felt pretty constricted around my lower abdomen. So, I put them back. Maybe these would stretch some, but they didn't fit like the other, normal Stryke pants I own (I have 4 pair of ... MoreTried on a pair of these at our local 5.11 shop today during their grand opening, which BTW is a very nice shop and they did a great job with the space. So, I put them back. Maybe these would stretch some, but they didn't fit like the other, normal Stryke pants I own (I have 4 pair of the original). I truthfully like these a lot more, but they don't seem to have the same band that stretches out on the sides like the OG Stryke pants do, which would have sealed the deal. Maybe another pair would have fit better, as sometimes I try a few different pairs on in my size, but in consideration of the crowd today, there wasn't really time and I didn't want to be 'that guy.' I could have tried on the next size up, but I felt they would just look sloppy, so I will bide my time in the gym so I can give them another shot in a month or two as the winter weight sheds. I would have to absolutely go up a size of I were to consider concealing in the waist band.
