This was my first purchase from 5.11 and it won't be my last! Having recently joined my local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), I needed a pair of pants that were more comfortable to wear all day than jeans, were durable so they wouldn't fail during any event or disaster, were roomy so they wouldn't ride up when squatting or kneeling, were versatile (lots of useful pockets--like a dedicated knife/multitool pocket), AND looked the part. These checked all the boxes. When I wore them to my next event, lo and behold, the guy running our local CERT was wearing the same pants! I just need to decide which color I'm going to buy next.Another plus is their generous length. Fades Very Quickly

All the positive comments I agree with. These are really great pants to wear for the very active person. However, all the dark color pants fade very quickly. The only pair that you cannot see the fading much is Khaki. All the rest of the colors fade too fast. I am in a profession where dress and appearance really counts. Wearing faded pants is not acceptable. I have to purchase new pairs about every three months or less. I end up using the faded pants for field training, yard work, fishing and that kind of thing. Sometimes I will donate the faded pants to someone who really needs a serviceable pair of pants with plenty of pockets. Three Stars because they fade too fast and expensive to replace. Otherwise they are great pants.

Great Clothes
6 July 2023

I bought a pair of these pants many years ago. I hung them up in my closet and kind of forgot about them. I started a new job and began wearing those pants and liked them a lot. I checked the tags for information and looked them up. I was so happy to find the same style of pants were available and in many different colors. I ordered 3 pair in various colors. I received them in less than a week, and the new pants fit the same as the older pair. Very happy with the quality and durability of their clothes. I will likely be placing more orders in the near future.

I generally like them. The "fit to size" is fair. I wear a 38/36 jean (and have for years, heavy sigh...), but found a 38/34 worked best for me in these pants. I have not had them long enough to comment on durability. My only real complaint is "What the heck is the goofy fabric strap above the right hip pocket?" I realize I may be exposing myself as not tactically cool with this question, but I see several negative aspects to this strap, with no positives for me (perhaps a positive for the seller...it looks "cool"). Any insights? I do know that the strap could be mistaken for the top edge of a wallet pocket; wallet ends up on ground. Happy trails...

I’ve been wearing these pants for over two decades, first the all cotton version while I was working as an electrician, then the Taclite Pro after I retired in 2009.Absolutely fantastic pants. They wear like iron, very hard to stain and any stain you do get USUALLY comes out with a little pre-treatment, they are cool in the summer and certainly warm enough in the winter. They fit true to size with plenty of “dancing room” and don’t bunch up and pinch when kneeling down. If there is any chance of being exposed to fire, stick with the all cotton version, but for normal wear, these are superior since they are lighter in weight and a bit cooler in hot weather, which keeps the “boys” cool and calm. If there is any chance of being exposed to fire, stick with the all cotton version, but for normal wear, these are superior since they are lighter in weight and a bit cooler in hot weather, which keeps the “boys” cool and calm. So far though, I have had no use for the knee pad inserts (extra purchase) and find that they make the leg oddly stiff if used, so I don’t, not even when I need to kneel a lot. The double thickness of the knee area has kept me from ever blowing out the knee even though my job often required me to do a lot of kneeling during the coarse of the day.My only complaint is I wish they came pre-hemmed in big boy sizes, i.e. 48. While I have gotten quite good at hemming them myself, I cannot compete with a factory hem job and taking them to local tailor adds another $15 to each pair of pants. Not all big boys are 6’ 8 1/2 inches so us shorter guys don’t need 40 inch unhemmed pants. Plus, I am already paying a premium for the larger size, yet I have to hem them myself??? How does that make sense?

In 2016, I order from amazon 1x of the following"Men's Taclite Pro Lightweight Performance Pants, Cargo Pockets"In size 40x32I like them a lot.So from 2017 to 2019 18 pairs of this pant in my size 40x32I basically have these in all different colors, and I must say, these are my favorite pants I have owned. It also introduce me to some of your shirts, which I bought directly from your website, hoping to support you directly (my most recent order of shirts is still pending…)In 2021, I went to buy some more of these pants but did not find them anymore.I noticed however, "Taclite® Pro Ripstop Pant" is the only other cargo pants with "Taclite" in the title, so I thought they must be the same thing. So I bought 6x of "Taclite® Pro Ripstop Pant" in my size 40x32But ... MoreIn 2016, I order from amazon 1x of the following"Men's Taclite Pro Lightweight Performance Pants, Cargo Pockets"In size 40x32I like them a lot.So from 2017 to 2019 18 pairs of this pant in my size 40x32I basically have these in all different colors, and I must say, these are my favorite pants I have owned. So I bought 6x of "Taclite® Pro Ripstop Pant" in my size 40x32But when I tried them on, they don’t seem like my pants. The Best EVER!!
29 January 2023

These Taclite Pro Pants are AMAZING!! I have a total of four pairs in all different colors. I use these for everyday/casual wear, and I get many compliments from others about them. My favorite part is the range of motion, flexibility, versatility, quality, usefulness, and how roomy these pants are. It’s has good looks with comfort. Please 5.11 don’t ever do-away with these, nor please don’t change them ever. I am also a 6’4” guy and buy these in 34x34, and these pants especially the legs are the best fitting size ever in pants for me. I am a HUGE fan and I can’t wait to put together more of a street, tactical, edge look for my outfits. Thank You 5.11!!

4 April 2023

Ive been buying and wearing these pants for years and I hate when I have to wear any other pants for any reason, I have become addicted to the cell phone pocket, the small utility pocket on the left side, the utility strap on the right rear, and just the fit and feel of these pants. I have some very old ones that are at least 5 years old (probably closer to 8-10 some are cotton not ripstop! ) and aside from the small rips and tears that come from extremely hard use they are in excellent condition, no problems with stitching, no problems with buttons or zippers. For the quality, utility, durability, and price I don't think you could do better in terms of value. I wear them working on cars, doing yardwork, gardening, any any other activity I can get away with. Get as many as you can, but be warned you wont want to wear anything else.

You have so many different style of pants that are all named the same thing but yet are completely different.I ordered these pants thinking they were the same as the previous ones that I ordered!, They are NOT!These have elastic in the waste band that is very uncomfortable. The main thing that leaves me scratching my head is how these pants are the same size as the others that I have ordered but the these drag the floor because the legs are too long. The way these pants are cut they have the crotch of the pants almost to my knees. All in all these pants are a disappointment from my previous dealings with 5.11.I own a service business and I purchase these pants as well as boots as part of our company uniforms. I buy a quite a few pairs of pants each year.
